"The Lucidity Effect" - 06/15/2006 (Lucid)

"The Lucidity Effect"
6/15/2006
Dream #3
(Lucid)
(I fell back asleep, after dream #2, and I remember much less of the next one, but it was still really vivid.)

I was telling someone about the dragon dream I’d had “the night before,” and I was going into detail about how the dragon first appeared. (Now, after this part, I’d noticed a bit of a scenery change, but I think it was a part of the same dream, so I’ll write it that way.) There was some commotion behind us, and someone had just gotten shot. It was then, that I noticed that the scenery was set in the old west.

We were outside of some really lavish building - like a mansion or theater, or something like that - and there was a crowd of people swarming around the incident. I think either some little girls, or some young women, were shot, though I don’t know why. (I do remember something about how they were standing close enough so that more than one of them were hit with the same shot.) There was something about this whole thing that didn’t seem right, though. I just couldn’t quite tell what it was, at first.

(It may have had something to do with not being able to remember what I was doing before all this happen that prompted this next part, but if you’ve ever seen the movie The Butterfly Effect you’ll get the concept.)

I figured out that by collecting some of the blood from the victim and doing something with it that - I think - involved gun powder (Don’t ask me what the hell I did, because I don’t know), I could send myself, and the three guys I’d been telling my dragon dream to, back in time to before the shooting, in order to try and stop it.

I think I mixed the gunpowder with the blood (or something like that). Then, there was a bright flash, and we were suddenly back to right before the shooting. We ran up to the crowded doorway of the building and jumped the guy that we knew had the gun, stripping him of it. However, history seemed destined to repeat itself, as someone else ended up shooting the girls. (It was the old west, and Everybody had a gun, of course.)

(The transition into this next part is pretty hazy, in my memory, but...) Sooner or later, I was inside the building, and there were four witches/sorceresses/whatever, inside. They were all black women, and wearing beautiful gowns. It felt like I was in old New Orleans or something. Anyway, even though it was a bit disjointed, I don't believe this was a separate dream because I think they were talking about the futility of my trying to change time - something about how I was meddling with powers I couldn’t comprehend, or something like that, and basically threatening me with their own powers.

Everyone else had disappeared, and I was alone, in what I believe was an elegant dining room, surrounded on three sides by these women - who I could tell were really powerful - and a solid wall, I think, on the fourth side.

I was definitely feeling like I was in deep shit, because they had me cornered, and I was obviously not going anywhere. But then, thanks to the perception of impending danger, lucidity kicked in once again (as it had done, in the dream prior to this one). Knowing that I was still dreaming I got a slight grin, for a moment, but then put my game face back on.

I started talking a little trash to these witches, which they didn’t take very lightly. I can’t remember what I said, but before I knew it, they were all trying to kill me. They had absolutely 0 effect, though. Haha. Oh man, it was great! I started walking toward them, one by one, simply waving off their attack spells with a dismissive hand. The first one, standing in the doorway to my right, shot what I think was electricity at me. I slapped it away and it shattered a wall-length mirror beside me. She backed up, just a little, through a door and into the hallway behind her, when she saw me still coming in her direction. Drawing her hands back, she then lurched forward and unleashed a steady stream of fire toward me. Without breaking stride, I put up one hand and blocked the fire with my mind. Then, I pushed the flying blaze back out into the hallway and shut the door mentally, filling the hallway with her own fire and burning the witch alive.

Continuing on my counter-clockwise advance, I came to the next witch, who was halfway between me and the last. She was near the wall between two doors, which were on the same side of the room, and had nowhere to go. When she threw her lightning at me, I didn’t even put up my hand. I just decided that it wasn’t going to touch me, and it never did. The last thing I remember of her was her surprised look, right before I stepped up to her, grabbed her face in both hands and spun it to one side, breaking her neck. She dropped to the floor and I continued on walking toward the last witch.

This one, obviously the oldest, wasn’t as ignorant. She began walking backward, struck with fear, as I stalked her way. She was practically tripping over herself, as she shied away from me, retreating out of the room and into another hallway, which led to the main lobby. There was a high, twisted staircase in the middle of the room - quite beautiful, actually - and it was surrounded by all of these chandeliers. Anyway, she began crawling backward up these stairs, trying to get away from me, pleading for me to spare her and whatnot. I didn’t say a word, but just kept closing in on her, menacingly, as she wound her way backwards, up the stairs, to about the 6th flight or so. She ended up with her back against the railing which overlooked the large room below us. I leaned in so close to her that our faces were practically touching, staring maliciously into her panicked eyes. I can’t remember what she said - or what I said, afterward - or even whether or not I pushed her away with my mind (which I think I did), but before I knew it, she was plummeting down, through one of the chandeliers and to the ground, below.

(If there was anything after this, I don’t remember it, but Damn, what a night. Haha.)

"Haunted House Task Attempt" - 10/03/2007 (Lucid)

"Haunted House Task Attempt"
10/03/2007
Dream #2
(Lucid)

The first thing I remember of this one is being in an execution chamber. Some guy was about to be put to death for some sort of crime, and I was one of the people in the "audience." (Is that what the call the groups of people watching this kinda thing?) Instead of sitting, I was kinda walking around the chamber. Near the opening to the chamber, I remember seeing this strange, black-shrouded figure just standing there, looking into the chamber. It looked like Death, himself, but I couldn't tell because I could only see the figure from the side and the hood was pulled up over his/head.

In another small corner/room, somewhere near the chamber, a woman had followed me in. Before I even knew what was going on, she came up to me and started seducing me. It was somewhat dark in the room and there seemed to be a shadow over her face. It didn't take her long to win me over and, soon enough, we were making out, pretty heavily, in the small room. As things were heating up, I wanted to get a better look at her and so I planted her back up against the wall where a light was coming in through the window. When I looked up, I saw that she was probably 65 years old or so!

Instantly, I could tell, by her expression, that she was hurt by my surprise at how old she was, and that she knew that I was probably not going to let this go any further. All of a sudden, the realization came to me... I smiled at her and said, "Don't worry, we can do something about that. This is just a dream, anyway." I put both hands above her forehead, saying "Let's try to bring you back a few years," and slowly brushed my hands down the front of her face. As they moved lower, I could tell that my suggestion had worked. She, now, seemed between about 19 and 23 or so, with short, purple and blonde streaked hair. She smiled at me and we continued to go at it. I pulled her away from the wall and slid around behind her, embracing her with one hand up her shirt, and one down the front of her pants, kissing the side of her neck.

I heard something outside and looked at the windows that surrounded the room on three sides. There was a huge group of people out there watching us. They started banging on the windows, obviously pissed off, yelling things like "Hey!! What are you doing in there??!" and "Get away from her, you alien!!" (Whatever the hell that meant. ) They had flashlights and kept shining them in our faces. We continuously screamed at them, to leave us alone, but they simply wouldn't leave. Finally, I got pissed off and stepped away from the girl, for a second. I put up my fists in front of me and screamed "Rrrrraaaaaaahhhh!!" pushing energy outward from myself. All the glass windows shattered outward and knocked everyone outside on their asses, like I was a bomb that had just gone off in the room. Even the girl in the room with me ducked and covered.

The sound of raining glass subsided and the crowd got back on their feet. I thought they would have left us alone, but they came back and kept yelling at us through the window. They said the cops were coming and we were going to get in trouble. I told the girl just to forget about them, because this was my dream, anyway. Just as we started making out again, more flashlights appeared - this time, attached to taser guns. Two cops had showed up and were ordering us out of the room.

Finally, fed up, I said "Fine. You want me to come out there?" I left the girl in the room and flew out through the window. The cops kept telling me to get on the ground or they were going to taser me and I said something like "You guys just have no idea what you're dealing with here, do you?" I held up one hand and pointed at one cop's taser gun. Flicking my wrist, I telekinetically made him point the taser at his partner and shoot him in the chest. No electricity ran through it, though. The guy pulled the prongs out of his chest and they both turned on me and fired. The prongs stuck in my chest and they felt like staples. Again, though, no electricity ran through them. What really hurt, however, was when I tried to pull them out. It was like they had reverse-hooks in them, like arrowheads, and tore at the skin when I had to yank them out. (I've never been tasered, before - and I don't own one - so I don't know if they actually have those hooks on them. Probably.) The cops kept firing them at me again, so I started to fly backward. I happened to see a power-line hanging over them and I mentally made on of the cops turn and fire his taser up at the power-line, trying to electrocute him. Again, there was no exchange of electricity. I didn't feel very grounded, in this dream, though, and it was beginning to unravel, so I decided to ditch the cops and fly away, before I woke up from trying to concentrate too hard.

I landed in front of a house in the neighborhood and remembered the current, Halloween-themed Task of the Month, from the DreamViews forums, which was, simply, to explore a Haunted House. The house looked more homely than haunted, and there was a porch light on, which definitely ruined the effect, so I turned around and faced the other way, trying to see if I could make it transform by the time I turned back around to look at it. While I was looking the other way, some guy ran up to me and said that the cops were chasing him, too, and asked if he could hide out with me. I said "yeah," and turned back around to the house. It hadn't changed. I thought that maybe I could simply change the inside into a spooky house. Reaching around behind me, I visualized an imitation Ghostbusters Proton Blaster into existence and swung it around in front of me. It was very faint and unsolidified, but it was there.

Opening the front door, I walked in and found...disappointingly...a normal house. There was a bunch of kids roaming around, as I went from room to room. I cracked open one door, and a couple in bed jumped at the sight of my ghost gun and covered themselves up with the blankets, defensively. I left them alone and walked up into the attic, hoping to find something haunting around up there. After a while, in the dark, I was further disappointed to have encountered nothing. Without bothering to go back the way I came, I justphased down through the floor and went to go find another house. On the way out, I tried to phase through the front wall but ended up running into it, instead. I tried again and, as I went through the wall, everything went black. I could feel myself waking up, so I completely relaxed and just tried to visualize the outside of the house. Soon, I was back on the porch, having more "teleported" to the front of the house, rather than gone through the wall.

I was getting really frustrated at how unstable my dream and control were, so I decided to just go flying for a while, as things weren't looking really promising on the whole "Haunted House" front. As I was flying down the street, I looked at my hands, and they were wavy and distorted but, in the night, I really couldn't see much detail. Then, I looked up at the sky, thinking about trying to fly into space, because, with all the instability, I really couldn't see this dream lasting much longer. I was just about to fly toward the moon when I heard some kid screaming hysterically "Mommy, mommy! I killed Daddy! He's Dead! He's Dead!!" I thought to myself that the kid's dad's ghost might be roaming around, so I went and landed right beside him. I said, "you killed your daddy? Where? Show me?" He said, "over there! He's dead!!" and he pointed to an unlit house across the street.

Immediately, I flew to the house and followed the sidewalk, around to the front door. Sitting on the porch was an old man, slouched over in a chair. From what I could see, it looked like he was missing an eye, but it was hard to tell in the dark. The guy suddenly stirred in his seat and groaned a little. He sat up and looked in my direction. Off to the side, I heard the kid, still screaming, hysterically: "You're supposed to be dead!! You're supposed to be DEAD!!!" like he was just as upset that his dad was alive, as he was when he thought he was dead. That's when I realized that, since the guy had been sitting outside, I wouldn't have completed the task anyway, because the objective was to go into a haunted house. So, still frustrated, I tried to pull out my Proton Blaster, again, and give the guy a good zap, for getting my hopes up. It didn't really materialize, though, and the best I could do was kinda point my fingers at him and make a fake gun noise with my mouth. LOL.

Obviously, he didn't think it was funny, though, because the last thing I remember was him responding to the taunt by getting out of his chair and kicking me square in the nuts...

...Mean old bastard. Lol.

The dream then faded and I sat in a void for a little bit, having felt myself beginning to wake, again. (For a short while, I tried to relax myself back into the dream. It never happened, though, and I opened my eyes and got out of bed.)

"The Karate Master" - 09/16/2007 (FA)

"The Karate Master"
09/16/2007
(False Awakening)

(Had some B6 last night, so these were really vivid, and I was this [ ] close to having an LD, but I was also tired as Hell and didn't spend too much time on actually trying to recognize the dream state, so I was just missing clues all over the place.)

This one began with a false awakening. I was in my old house and the room was dark. I looked beside me and there was a baby swing sitting there. CJ was in it, and she was a baby again. Having not paid too much attention to it, at first, and turned away. I heard a noise and then turned back to look at the swing. CJ was now older, maybe 5, and was climbing out of the swing by herself. The swing tilted over, but CJ landed on her feet. Without even looking at me, she opened my room door and walked out.

I got out of bed and followed her, noticing that the kitchen light was on. She walked down the hall, toward the living room and, when I got there, I was surprised to see that my living room was FULL of people. A large portion of my friends and family members were just lounging around and watching TV, even my friend that lives in California was there. I stopped and just stared at all of them. They all just looked at me and smiled, and went back to whatever they were doing. I looked at a clock (and a digital one, at that. I should slap myself for not doing a reality check), and it said it was 10:40 PM. The gears in my head just barely started turning, and I finally said to them. "You know...It's strange enough that I remember going to bed at around 3am, and that clock says it's, somehow, 10:40..but....what the hell are all of you doing here??" BM, from Cali, gave me some bullshit explanation (that I can't remember, right now), and it was somehow enough to throw me off.

I walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer. There was (among other things) a half-eaten french-bread pizza in it. I closed the freezer door and walked back into the living room. It was now daytime and most of my friends and family had disappeared. Instead, CJ and a bunch of kids were hanging around the living room. They all seemed really happy to see me and said that they had been waiting for me to come back, so we could practice martial arts together. I helped them move some of the furniture and we cleared out a large space in the living room and started messing around with some basic martial arts moves.

After a while, the door opened and another, older, kid walked in. With her, was some big, barrel-chested man with a bald head and a black karate gi on. She introduced him as a "master" that was here to spar all the kids. The kids were now, suddenly, teenagers and dressed in karate gis of their own. There were three different styles of gi, each defining a different level of skill. So I sat back in the dining room area and gave them their space, watching.

It was an awesome sight. This guy was just plowing through these kids, but they were definitely putting up a great effort. The master was taking a different approach to each of the different skill levels. He was somewhat gentle to the kids with the all-white gis, the beginners, used a moderate level of control with the kids with a red sash, the intermediates, and absolutely destroyed the advanced students in the white/black Akido-style gis. He was just bouncing back and forth between all these kids, like Jackie Chan, as they rushed him, all at once. One of the girls did this sick combination where she jumped at him with a hurricane kick, which he stepped back from. As she landed, she continued the rotation (which was really fast), spinning like a top and swinging the foot around into a series of foot sweeps. The master evaded the first few rotations and then jammed his foot down on the ground, blocking the final kick with his leg before picking the girl up and flipping her over onto her back.

The second he did that, an older boy, one of the advanced fighters, came up and attacked the master from behind. This kid had no chance. The master turned around, swept the kid's legs into the air, and drove a hand down into chest, slamming the kid down into the floor so hard I thought he would break through it.

As I watched, part of me wanted to just rush in and try my hand at this guy, too, but I knew I would get owned, so I decided to just hang back, as this was their lesson, not mine. Lol.

Later (and I don't remember how this happened, but...), this master was reeeeeeeaaaallly pissed at me. This was, obviously, not a good thing. CJ; some of the rest of the kids; a few of my family members; and I were in some sort of theater. I had learned that the master was after me, and my perspective switched, momentarily, to a view in the lobby. It was as if I was a camera that was following the master as he stormed into the lobby of the theater, and stomped his way toward the theater hall that we were in.

Suddenly, it zoomed back in to first person, and I saw the doors fly open. The master stood there for a moment, glaring at me. The theater hall was nearly empty, and I was closer to the stage. Shortly after, the man was running toward me like a freight train. The kids, who were now their younger selves again, scattered as the master attacked. I tried to do whatever I could to defend myself, but this guy was completely wrecking me.

The theater was filled with those little iron folding chairs, instead of anchored seats, and the guy was just throwing me around them like a rag doll, pretty much. I was able to get a few shots in but, overall, he was just taking me apart.

The turning point came when I was able to trip him. He fell to the ground and I picked up one of the chairs. I tried to pin him by making the legs of the chair straddle over him, and keep him from standing up. He started crawling under the chairs, though. I jumped up on top of the chairs and ran across them, as he moved under them, balancing while trying to keep my weight right above the chairs that he was beneath, so that he couldn't stand up. Finally, moving parallel to each other, we came to the end of the row of chairs. As soon as he slid out from under the last chair and tried to stand up, I dove onto his back and put him in a rear naked choke, before he had a chance to do anything about it. He was still able to stand up and grabbed my arm and tried as hard as he could to pull it off, but I was holding on for dear life. This guy was so big that it felt like I was riding a bull as he flailed and spun around, trying to throw me off (I don't know how the hell he fit under those chairs. lol.) This went on for a few moments, and then I finally felt his body go limp and he fell to the floor, unconscious.

A little while later, we were leaving the theater. I think the cops had been called or something, because there was some big commotion going on. Through the crowd, the master (having awoken) walked toward me. He bowed at me, respectfully, and I simply bowed back. I think he said something to me but I don't remember what it was. (That's the second master that I've gotten my ass handed to me by. At least I was able to beat this guy. I still have to go find the old kung fu master that tore me up last year.)

"Desert Outpost" - 12/07/2006

”Desert Outpost”
12/07/2006
Dream #2

This one jumped around a lot. Me, T, JL and someone else were hanging out in an unfamiliar apartment complex. This girl, N, that I used to work with, a few years ago, lived in one of the apartments. Some time, throughout the dream, we’d gone to Burger King and, when we came back, my food was leaking through the bottom of my bag - a stringy mixture of mayonnaise, and grease dripping all over my legs. We got out of the car and were eating our food outside on the steps of N's apartment, when some little kid came up and was asking me about why my food was so soggy. I can’t remember what I told him though.

Later, some sort of drama happened and I think T ended up getting into a fight with someone in the neighborhood. It had been “hours” (perceived) since we ate at BK and he was feeling all good after winning a fight, so he said something like: “Let’s go get hot wings. I’m buying!” so we went and ate wings at some unfamiliar place. Standing in line, some of my ROTC buddies were there. I remember KA kept trying to get in front of me, in line, whenever I wasn’t paying attention. I’d grab him in a lock and shove him back to his spot, and we’d start play/fighting in line.

The dream shifted again, and it was daytime. A bunch of us (I think it was mostly the ROTC crew) were going on some “desert safari,” where we were supposed to venture to this mystical sort of place, way out in the desert. We each left at different times, because part of the trial was to see who would make it all the way there, without quitting. I had my camera with me and was walking alone through this scorching desert. T’s camera is on his phone, so he kept sending me pics that he was taking, while he was walking. After what seemed like forever, I came to a large mesa, with a sign in front of it. I knew there was some sort of civilization near this mesa, and I had been waiting to find it for a while. The sign, though, said that the “mystical city” we were looking for was still 2000 miles away, and something else about the sign evidenced that I’d only traveled 2000 miles in the first place. I was only halfway there, and about to pass out. The civilization that I heard this mesa was around was nothing but an outpost. I could see it way off in the distance and it was still quite a trip, so I continued walking.

At some point in time, I noticed that, instead of a poncho, I was wearing my bathroom robe (…which struck me as weird, but wasn’t enough to make me lucid). I noticed that there was supposed to be a lot of wildlife on this trip, and I hadn’t seen any. However, when I stepped into this small outpost of a town, there was wildlife running loose, all over it. The thing was: not only were these dangerous animals (alligators, bears, etc) but they were huge - gators as tall as 4 ft, while on all fours; bears which stood about as tall as full-grown men, again, on all fours.

Exhausted, I traveled to the center of this outpost and my surroundings were a mixture of calm and chaos. Some people were running for their lives as these monstrous beasts were chasing them down. Others were just standing around and taking pictures, like tourists in a theme park. I was about to start taking pictures of this weirdness, when I happened to turn around and see a guy running toward me with a massive bear - bigger than he was - closing in behind him. The bear caught the guy’s backpack in its mouth and picked him up off of the ground. He screamed in sheer, helpless terror, as the bear shook him from side to side, like a dog shaking a chew-toy, and then let go, the man flying through the air and smashing through a chain link fence a good 50 feet away.

I slowly lowered my camera and kept walking, thinking that now wasn’t a good time to stop and take pictures. Ultimately, I just wanted to get inside, where I could rest, peacefully, away from these dangerous animals. Strangely enough, there was a sandwich shop in one of the old buildings, which had a sign that said “Subs / Sodas” etc. on it. I remember getting some strange looks from the locals (probably because I was still wearing my bathrobe), before going inside the shop to find something to eat, but I don’t recall anything after this.

"Police Omnipresence" - 11/13/2019 (Lucid + Chain + FA)

"Police Omnipresence"
11/13/2019
Dream #1(a)
(Lucid)

There is an early part of this dream, where I was with a bunch of kids, riding around on "Hoverboards." I remember getting on one of the Hoverboards and, instead of riding it in a forward-facing stance, I was able to ride it with my feet facing to one side, like a skateboard. The kids found it really cool, and I was doing a few tricks with it.

Later, I was skateboarding (now, with a normal skateboard) through some beach town, heading down toward the water. I came upon a largely-flooded area, as if the beach had surged inland. Having built up speed, I skimmed the board across the puddle, splashing water on my way through. There was a cop, walking up the street, in the opposite direction from me, and he immediately turned around and began harassing me for "playing in" the floodwater. He was completely overreacting, though, so, after some back-and-forth, I just waved him off and went about my way.

Time skipped, and I was at home with my girlfriend, J, and an unknown guy-friend. Unprompted, my stereo came on, by itself. A voice came through the speakers, and I could tell that it was the cop from my earlier encounter. The room was already dark, and his voice was booming and ominous. He started going off about the reason he was such a jerk, earlier, being that he and I had history. He said that I was involved in wrongdoing which led to someone in his family being maimed or killed. For this reason, he considered me to be something of a "nemesis" to him, and that he wasn't going to rest until he got even. Strangely enough, my dream "self," seemed to know what he was talking about. I was immediately remorseful, and attempted to voice my sorrow for what had happened. I told him that it was an accident, and that the whole situation was largely misunderstood. (Though, I didn't think it was strange that I was talking to him through an mic-less radio.)

Just then, the bedroom window, beside me, lit up in a hazy, gray bit of "television static," as if the glass, itself, was a giant monitor. Though the cop's face never showed, I could hear his voice, coming from the window-turned-TV screen.

He said "It would be just horrible, if it happened to someone you loved...."

Another time-skip, and it was a new day. J and I were sitting out on a back porch. There was an older woman at the far side of the porch, and a small boy, beside her. They looked to be doing some sort of work, like tending to the vegetation on the deck, or something. Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, and the innocent woman dropped to the ground, dead. Shocked I looked toward the direction from which I heard the shot and, through the spaces in the fence, I could see the cop glaring back at me, grinning, teasingly.

Immediately, J and I ran after him, Jumping over the fence and chasing him through a grassy area between houses. Suddenly, a large dog came around a nearby corner, charging between us and the officer and moving in to attack me. Initially, I fought the dog off with my hands, but it was eventually able to chomp down on one of my hands, and I noticed that it didn't really hurt. The dog held on, though, long enough for me to figure out how this insane scenario came about. I suspected that I had to be dreaming. With the dog still clamped on to my hand, I reached out with my other one and pet the dog on the head, calmly, willing it to settle down...and it did, loosening its jaws and sitting down in front of me.

We, then, turned to the officer, who seemed ready for a fight. J, though, didn't seem to acknowledge my lucidity. She was apprehensive about just confronting him, outright, knowing that he had a gun. I, however, was already convinced that I was dreaming. I raised a hand toward the cop and tried to use telekinesis on him. J was startled by the gesture and yelled "what are you doing??" I told her that it's fine, because this was just a dream. Obviously not believing me, she practically face-palmed and said "Oh, my God. NO," suggesting that she thought I was going to get myself killed, by convincing myself that this was just a dream. (Lol.) Things were very vivid, at this point, and the first few attempts did not work. The cop approached me and squared up. After exchanging a few swings, I was able to "force push" him away from me, completely proving my theory right - that I was dreaming and had some level of control.

The fight went on, mixing telekinesis with hand-to-hand blows, though I don't remember too many of the details. In the middle of the fight, though, I instantly "woke up," into what I would soon discover was a false awakening.

Dream #1(b)
(False Awakening)
(Chain)
(Lucid)

Immediately upon "waking up" in my bed, I found myself flailing from the previous fight, and inadvertently launching a fist out and punching my girlfriend - as she lay next to me - square in the boob. (Haha.) She woke, clutching her chest and asking me something along the lines of "what the hell is wrong with you??" Embarrassed, I told her about the dream I'd had. In the end, she thought it was funny and forgave me.

Next thing I knew, it was daylight, again. J and I, along with the same guy-friend from the previous dream, were walking down a dirt road. (Apparently, my notion of the previous events being "just a dream," had faded.) I was telling both of them about the "incident," the cop had been referencing, expressing how it was all a mistake and that what happened was an accident. I remember referencing that the victim had been the cop's son or nephew or something, and there was a series of events that led to his death. J said that she didn't want to hear any gory details, which is pretty consistent with her character.

Clearing a wooded area near the road, we came upon a small, run-down house. As we got closer to it, the front door opened and a young woman walked out. She was dressed as a zombie, and sort of taking on a zombie gait to her walk, but I was never concerned that she was an actual ghoul. She was just dressed like one, as if for a cosplay or Halloween costume. She walked right passed us, without saying a thing, and after watching her walk by, finding the encounter to be a bit odd, we all turned back toward the house, just in time to see the cop, from earlier, come sauntering out the front door, grinning at us.

Immediately, upon recognizing him, I knew I was dreaming. I said something like "ugh, here we go again," while the cop stalked toward me as if he wanted to go another round. Now, fully aware of the situation, I was ready to have some more fun. I threw my hands out to the side, and yelled "rrraaaaaahh!!" trying to pull off a DBZ-style power-up (which I've had some success with, before). Nothing happened, though, and he just ran in and started his attack. I drew upon telekinesis, again, and started throwing him around, all over the yard, with my mind. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the zombie-girl come back onto the scene. Behind her, though, I saw an enormous werewolf also show up, snarling as if it was about to get into the fray. As it walked toward my fight with the cop, I could see that it was far too large to be just "someone in costume," and that I was about to have to battle this random werewolf, too.

It was in the chaos of the ensuing battle, that I woke up.

"Traffic Stop" - 11/13/2019

"Traffic Stop"

Dream #2

I was visiting what appeared to be another country, at night, roaming about the city streets with a group of people. There was reporting and discussion of rampant human trafficking, in this region, though it was still a bustling area. Even at night, there were a lot of people wandering around the city. While inside what I believe was a small store, in some sort of mall, a little girl, within our group, ended up getting snatched from right under our noses. The crowd was alerted to the girl being carried away by a woman with blonde hair, running toward the exit. Instinctively, I began sprinting after the kidnapper, seeing her shove the little girl into a car (which happened to be parked inside the mall, instead of outside) and start to speed away.

Still chasing after the car, on foot, as it crashed through the mall to make its getaway, I was somehow able to catch up to the vehicle, leaping forward and grabbing onto the rear bumper and being, practically, dragged across the floor while trying to climb up onto the trunk. Just as I was getting up near the rear window of the rag-top convertible, the driver smashed through a partially closed loading door, ripping the convertible top off of the car and knocking me backward. Clearly, I would have been thrown to the ground, had a not been able to grab a sliver of the shredded fabric that came loose from the vehicle's rooftop.

Now, careening through the streets, the woman continued to smash into seemingly everything in sight, trying to make her escape, while I climbed up the rear of the now-topless car. Upon climbing into the backseat, I noticed a had a small, metal bat in my hand. (I don't know whether I picked it up, during the chase through the mall; it was already in the backseat of the car; or it just "appeared" in my hand. Either one is possible.) When I stood up, behind the driver's seat, I could see the little girl, cowering over in the passenger's seat. Without hesitation or thought, I just began bashing the blonde woman driving, in the head, with the bat - repeatedly. She resisted, as long as she could, but then ended up crashing the vehicle on the side of the road, seemingly unconscious. With bat still in hand, I grabbed the little girl and we ran to the nearest building.

(This part got pretty hazy...) I believe the building to be something like a movie theater. While trying to figure out how to get the girl back to actual safety, we were attacked by an enormous man, who we found to be either an associate of the blonde woman, or just another human trafficker. I remember our fight ending up in one of the bathrooms, and I still had the bat with me, so - though I don't remember many of the details, I do know that I took the guy out, and I distinctly remember telling the girl "Let's get out of her, before Frankie wakes up, again.." (reference to Frankenstein, due to the guy's size.)

We ran out of the (alleged) theater, and I immediately spotted the blonde woman, coming up the street, toward us. She was holding her head and staggering, as if she was seconds away from passing out, again, and I could see that she hadn't seen us, yet, but she was obviously walking with purpose, as if she knew we were close by, and she had plans to get even.

Not knowing whether or not the woman might have had a gun, the last thing I remember is clutching the little girl and hiding behind a large, stone column, outside the entrance, while the woman crossed from one side of the street to the other, searching for us.

"Of Martians and Hit-Men" - 10/03/2019 (Lucid)

"Of Martians and Hit-Men"
10/03/2019
(Lucid)

The first thing I remember is being on a paved walking trail, with my g/f. We came to a set of train tracks, realizing that we'd passed our intended branch-off, a short while back. After turning back and heading in the other direction, I noticed that someone seemed to be following us, from far behind. Although suspicious, I knew that I had my gun with me, so we just continued walking, and the person, though going in the same direction, never really got any closer.

Sometime later, we were talking to the next door neighbor to the house where we'd intended to go (which was not my real house nor neighbor), while standing in his garage. We eventually said our goodbyes and went to walk back next door and, on the way, I noticed a woman sitting in one of the cars in "our" driveway, as if she was waiting for someone. While trying to figure out who she was, a man walked up behind us, effectively placing us between himself and the woman in the car, just as she opened the door and stepped out of it. I figured the man to be the person we'd noticed on the trail, and he revealed themselves to be a hit man / hit woman duo, who - for some reason - had us on contract.

The woman - easily the more "animated" of the two - was talking a whole lotta trash. Finger-pointing, and all - as if this were, somehow, personal. While she was talking, I was trying to think if there was any possible way I would be able to get a draw on them, but I know there was no way I would be able to catch them both without getting both me and my g/f shot.

While she was ranting, I noticed the neighbor walking, cautiously, up the driveway. Obviously sensing that something was wrong, he timidly asked if everything was ok. Knowing the hit-team had guns discretely trained on us, I was silently screaming for the neighbor to just turn around and walk away, but all I could manage was something like "Yeah, everything's ok. Don't worry about it," hoping that he'd just leave us alone and spare himself some potential fallout - which he did. Still with no feasible chance to draw and shoot my way out of this ambush, I was nearly resigned to being caught dead to rights. The hit man raised his gun, and it was then that I caught a glimpse of something over his shoulder.

A meteor? The fire trail streaking in the sky suggested so. Then, however, the object nearly stopped on a dime, instantly slowing to a point where the trail disappeared, leaving a small spot of light. This was followed by another fire trail, streaking to a crawl, beside it - and then another...and another. These were not meteors. These were Spaceships - an entire fleet of them - apparently dropping out of warp, having reached their earthly destination.

"ALIENS!!" I yelled, staring straight passed the barrel of the gun in my face. It was obvious that the hit man didn't believe me, and he was just on the verge of pulling the trigger. Now, completely ignoring the immediate danger before me, I raised a hand and pointed over his shoulder, deathly serious, yelling "WE'RE BEING F'CKING INVADED!!" My outburst was confirmed by an chorus of concussive blasts and gunfire, from around the street corner. A full-scale assault on the city broke out, as if someone had turned on a light-switch. Our would-be killers' hit job totally collapsed as our two groups instantly scattered to seek shelter. Then, the aliens came into view - seemingly from all directions, at once. They were robotic, bipedal beings with laser rifles and were just massacring people, everywhere, on the streets. It was utter chaos. Before I could do anything about it, they were converging on us and opening fire. Terrified and flinching from what I thought was, again, certain death, I realized that this could not really be happening. I had to be dreaming!

In this momentary rush of lucidity, I began indiscriminately ducking and dodging the incoming fire, pushing the thought of being harmed by anything, out of my mind. Feeling comfortable and in control with my state, I just flipped and spun away from their shots.

My lucidity didn't last very long, though, and I was sucked back into the narrative, running with my g/f, into a nearby school. Although it was night time, the inside of the school was bustling, with elementary school aged kids and adults roaming about, as if it were the middle of the day. Having drawn my gun, before coming in, I kinda kept it under my shirt, instead of putting it fully back in the holster. We shifted through the halls of the school and tried to escape the alien onslaught outside - for some reason, never alerting anyone to what was going. Of course, it didn't take long for the invasion to crash its way into the building, and the last thing I remember is a hazy shootout, while a squad of the alien machines just ripped though large numbers of innocent men, women and children inside the school.
