Here is where I will display my favorite dream journal entries. Having been lucid dreaming since I was a kid, I've developed a great interest in dreams (as well as consciousness and the mind in general) and quite a bit of skill in dream control. Figured I would share some experiences. FYI: By reading my dream journal, you forfeit the right to use anything, herein, against me...for any reason...under any circumstances...Ever! Lol. (After all, they are just dreams.) Enjoy, and comment!

"Please Do not Beat on Glass" - 6/23/2008 (Lucid)
"Please Do Not Beat On Glass"
06/23/2008
(Lucid)
(I haven't been keeping to habits that foster great dream recall, lately, so even though I'm trying to get back in the routine of dream journaling, I've been kind of lacking in remembering the details. However, I do remember a fragment of a lucid, from last night.)
There was a public sea-life exhibit, enclosed and with large tanks making up the walls of the interior rooms. Everything was dimmed, relying solely on whatever sources were lighting the tanks, and the atmosphere reminded me of the shark exhibit, at Sea World. I spent some time going from tank to tank, and seeing all of the creatures they had in them. Some of the tanks were enormous, leading to large outer-areas of the park, and they housed everything from sharks to octopi to eels.
I don't necessarily remember becoming lucid, but I soon knew that this was a dream, and the first thing I can recall was roaming around this crowded walkway, looking for something to do, during what time I had left in the dream. Being in this cave-like exhibit, the first thing that came into my mind was shattering all the tanks and flooding the whole area. I can't remember if I found or manifested the object, but I was soon walking around with a baseball bat. I began smashing all of the tanks, one by one - some of them only spider-webbing, while the others broke and released whatever water and life they held. When I hit the bigger tanks, they exploded, hundreds of gallons surging in and collecting over the floor. Before too long, the entire exhibit enclosure was submerged in water. I cautiously confirmed that I could breathe underwater (wary, at first, of inhaling and having real water push in through my nostrils), and then continued on busting out whatever tanks were still intact.
For some time, I just played about, underwater. Some of the people around me looked still and dead - floating about, lifeless, in the illuminated water - and others were just walking or swimming around, making their way through the water just as I was.

"Psycho-Science Incorporated" - 04/19/2021 (Lucid)
"Psycho-Science Incorporated"
04/19/2021
(Lucid)
Working in the "front side" of this expansive office building, in this dream, my crew and I really hadn't much knowledge of what went on in the company that shared the opposite end of the complex. I remember vague footage of them having a mysterious CEO who was known for going on these periodic "retreats," where he would just disappear for a while, with no contact with the rest of the world. Not long after one of these announcements had been made, I found myself having to get around to the back side of the building (for some reason I can't remember), and deciding to just walk through the other company's office space, instead of going around the entire perimeter, outside.
I pushed in the two, heavy doors that separated us via a connecting hallway, and immediately stepped into a large, white room (which looked a lot like some of the broader phone rooms in the AAA building). Trying not to make too much of a spectacle of myself, I quickly shuffled through the room, toward the far wall, maybe 50 yards away from where I'd entered. It was only when I was about halfway through the room that I began to take notice of my surroundings and the employees within it. Each employee was standing at their own podium, in paralleled formations on opposite sides of the room. They were wearing lab coats and each working on their own specific projects. The further that I got into the room, the more I began to take in what it looked like they were doing.
On each podium was some sort of grotesque, bio-engineering experiment. Everything from animals to human babies were being unceremoniously dissected and spliced with other organisms or mechanizations. I was so stunned by what I was seeing, that by the time I'd progressed to a reasonable level of concern, I was already on the far side of the large room, and in front of the elevator. Not 100% sure that I walked into it on my own accord, I'm feeling more that I was sort of ushered, hurriedly into the elevator. Whatever the case, it was taking me down (into what would have been the parking garage, at my old job).
When the elevator door opened, I was in a dimly-lit, industrial area. It took a moment - and a few steps inside - before I realized that this wasn't a parking garage, at all. There was a sense of dread, here, as I looked around, spotting blood-stained walls and steel-barred holding stations. Still in a state of shock, my feet were carrying me around this room, even though I instantly knew that I shouldn't be here. It wasn't until a few moments later, that I began to notice the severed body parts and other human remains that were strewn about the ground. This place was a dungeon, and it was a thousand times worse than anything I was seeing on the surface. Just when I was finally about to make my turn to get the hell out of this place, I was cornered by some agency employees, standing between me and the elevator. Once I made it blatantly clear to them that I was going to be leaving this place - one way or another - the employees brought in backup. That backup came in the form of a grizzly bear-sized human / dog chimera; it was a disgusting-looking creature that resembled a gigantic, human baby with pale, hairless skin and facial features that looked like they were constantly mutating from human, to dog - and back again - like molding clay which was constantly being sculpted as the creature stepped passed the line of employees and lumbered toward me.
I can't quite recall how violent the encounter was, but I know that I was able to fight like Hell and was soon scrambling into the elevator and making my way back up to the ground floor. Once back in the large, main room, I shuffled quickly across the office / lab, trying to keep a low profile, despite my state of terror, but I could clearly see the more-menacing stares coming from the other employees as they looked up at me from their experiments.
Only slightly relieved to be out of that lab, I was able to make it back to my company's portion of the building, frantically trying to explain to everyone about the evil, twisted corporation we shared space with. No one seemed the slightest bit interested, though. However, at some point during my ranting, I realized the absurdity of the entire situation. Eventually, I realized that this was all a dream and became lucid.
As is often the case, when I become lucid during some sort of "big bad" situation such as this, I began to set my mind on walking right back into that office and laying waste to their entire operation. Sure, I knew it was just a dream, but that's a level of satisfaction that I can rarely turn down. This time, instead of walking through the building, I decided to go around the perimeter and approach the other company from the outside. Apparently, though, many of my coworkers had gotten intrigued by my mission, and they'd formed a very large entourage behind me which, oddly, included my mother and one of my cousins. I wasn't sure what kind of Hell was going to break loose, once I started to storm this place, so I tried to lead the pack and get the rest of my dream character posse to hang back, while I scoped things out. My mother and cousin, though, especially, seemed a little too gung-ho and started trying to rush their way inside and to the nearest elevator.
Despite my warnings, they hopped into the elevator, and I ran in with them. We were taken back down to the basement. The first thing I saw, once we stepped into the dungeon-esque holding facility, was an employee mutilating a young woman who seemed to be coming off of her sedative. The coat-clad man was taking a saw to one of her legs and just mercilessly grinding away on it, tearing through the flesh and bone as she wailed in agony. The intensity of the scenario kept making me lose focus and forget that I was dreaming, prompting us to get caught by armed guards and taken to what looked like a small classroom or presentation room, surrounded by men with rifles. While being shoved down into a seat, I began to suspect, again, that I was dreaming. Motioning toward a nearby chair with a point of my index finger, I attempted to move the chair with my mind. It took a couple of discrete attempts, but I was able to nudge it with telekinesis, confirming to me, once again, that I was dreaming.
Immediately, I reached my hand out in front of me and focused on one of the armed men across the room, snatching the rifle out of his hand with telekinesis and pulling it over to me. When I caught the weapon and began to fire upon all of the guards, the gun was shooting large, plastic cannon balls, with heavy *chunk* *chunk* sounds, like the cannon games you might find at a carnival game booth. With this gun being pretty much harmless, I tried to snatch an even more high-tech looking gun from another guard, from yards away. Once I caught his gun, I could see that it was actually just a high-tech video camera. Finding it useless, I simply decided to rely on my telekinesis and starting throwing guards this way and that, around the room, while all of my tag-alongs escaped.
We fanned out through the office building, trying to find the exit, ending up near the expansive, wall-length windows that I had seen, upon my first entry into the lab - though it was now dark, outside. Unable to find a door to let us out, I walked over to one of the windows and slid one finger across it, trying to slice my way through the glass like a razor. As vivid as this dream was, though, I was unable to gain that level of control. Instead, I placed both hands upon the glass and began to vibrate them quickly, attempting to shatter the glass, rather than cutting through it. This was much easier, and a large panel of the glass wall smashed to the floor, allowing us all to flood out into the parking lot.
We all converged on our side of the building, and I began to lose lucidity again while we talked about our experiences inside. One girl - sobbing - said "look what they did to me!" She, then, held up her bloody, severed forearm, showing that they'd already began chopping her up, as they'd done the other girl that I'd seen in the basement. Suddenly, more armed guards came streaming out of the building and opened fire on our entire group. We scattered, once again, and I'd happened to catch a glimpse of the CEO from earlier in the dream, watching us - discretely - from atop a bicycle, beneath a nearby tree, as if he'd just been observing this whole ordeal. Remembering his face from before, I once again remembered that this was all a dream. My lucidity had returned, and the last thing I remember was - once again - storming back over to the building and the armed guards now waiting outside, with the intention to continue to take them on.

"Candyman is Coming" - 05/06/2009
"Candyman Is Coming"
05/06/2009
Dream #1
![]() |
I was a detective, in this dream, and I was investigating a recent wave of deaths that were being blamed on the fabled "Candyman" (from the movie - but, in the dream, it was like the movie didn't exist, and he was an actual urban legend). I remember a brief period of riding around the city on a motorcycle, trying to get to these crime scenes as quickly as I could, so that I could either prove or disprove Candyman's existence. I don't recall much of the riding, but I know that I had a really fast bike, and I would sometimes take the turns by squeezing the front brake for stability and gunning the engine so the rear tire skid as it spun, kicking the back end of the bike out to drift around the tight corners at high speed. Every time I would show up at the scene after a call, though, it would be too late. The person would already be dead, and the killer would be nowhere in sight. All of the deaths were gruesome. The victims were all either gutted completely or just gored beyond recognition. The puncture wounds and lacerations all seemed as though they actually could have come from the Candyman's hook, though I remained skeptical of the supernatural implications of the murders.
Later, there was a pattern shown to be forming, and people who were dying were all known to have come down with a certain type of illness before their brutal deaths. They would all be sick to their stomachs, nauseated, and disoriented. It was really the only piece of information that I had, aside from the bodies, themselves. I ended up going to a multi-story building that was a mixture between a high-rise apartment building, and what kind of reminded me of my old office at B&B. I had raced there as fast as I could, and had shown up (in what must have been) seconds after another murder. While I was going around and questioning some of the people in the building, I started to get this sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach.
At first, I didn't know what it was, and I continued doing my job. Then, it began to grow more and more severe, until I was practically doubled over, holding my gut. I felt the urge to leave the office, immediately, and started looking for the stairs. The more I looked around for them, the more I began to realize that I was lost. I was so disoriented that it was like the building was shifting, and the stairs were nowhere to be found. Anxiety and claustrophobia were creeping in, and I was frantically searching for a way out, but it seemed as if I was going through the same hallways over and over. I knew that something was definitely wrong, not only with my condition, but with the entire situation.
Moving through one of the hallways, I started thinking about the murders - and the urban legend. "There's no way," I thought to myself. I wasn't even going to begin to take the possible connection seriously - that is until the florescent light above me suddenly shorted out. I kept moving, feeling sick, trying to find my way out of this maze of corners and doors, and as I ran, more and more lights over my head started flickering and bursting into showers of white sparks. I noticed that the trail of malfunctioning lights was actually following me, strobing or darkening patches of only the hallways I ran through. I began getting the feeling that I was being followed, and the sickness in my stomach was getting worse. There was no doubt in my mind, by now, that the Candyman stories were real, and that he was coming after me.
I was finally able to find a winding stairwell and ran down it, flickering lights following me the whole way. When I got down to the bottom floor, I still found myself running through hallway after hallway, all of them seeming to double back on themselves, just as they had done on the levels above. Now, my relationship with this building somehow changed, and I knew that I actually had my own room behind one of these doors. It was now more like an apartment building than the office setting that was more dominant, upstairs. The last thing I remember is getting to my door and it being locked from the inside. I kept trying as hard as I could to pull it open, feeling death looming in on me, all of the lights around me strobing wildly, as if the ghostly killer would be showing up any second.
That's all, though.

"The Possessed House" - 10/10/2006 (Lucid)
“The Possessed House”
10/10/2006
(Lucid)
Some friends and I were in an enormous house. It was, obviously, an old one and made completely out of wood. I can’t remember what we were doing there, but I know that some strange old guy was our host. We hung out in this house throughout the night, it seemed. (This dream lasted freakin' forever. Had some Calea Z and B6 before bed. I should have known I would be just asking for a dream like this...) However, after a while, we’d become aware of the reality that this house was actually possessed. Once all the weird supernatural stuff began happening, our elderly guy went about explaining to us that the house was actually "alive."
There were these huge, organic tendrils, tentacles and all kinds of creepy, slithery shit, just lurking in every dark corner and room, trying to grab us - along with huge insects, the size of everything from large dogs to adult humans, swarming from every nook and cranny. The place was even infested with the “Tremor (movie) worms.” It felt like we were running around that house for hours, trying to find a way out, but the house wouldn’t let us leave. Every exit we would journey toward led to some new, twisted, scenario. One particular door led to a room that seemed to tear away into an infinite void. The floor and walls were broken away, as if that entire section of the house was a doorway to outer-space, itself. We had to struggle to get back to the door and “exit” the room, before we were forever lost in the blackness that was sucking us further away from the doorway and into the void.
Back “inside” the house (or, simply, "out of that room" - however you wanna look at it), we kept on the run, with some of my friends actually being killed when the grasping tendrils, that came from the walls, pulled them further into the house as if it was eating them. Occasionally, I’d see my friends again, after they were “killed,” but I could tell that they weren’t the same. They’d been possessed by whatever it was that also possessed the house, and they, too, would do whatever they could, to keep the rest of us from leaving the home.
FINALLY, after having waaaaaaaay too much of this crap, I started to realize what was going on. The old guy, that was hosting us, was in front of me - just being the creepy old man that he was - and all of a sudden I blurted out “Holy shit, I’m dreaming! I’m dreaming!!” (…Thank God.)
He looked at me with an empty look in his eyes and said “No….You’re having a Niiiiiiiiightmaaaaaaaarreee!! and, as he did this, his eyes rolled back in his head and his face got all twisted and distorted and seemed to be melting off of his skull. The large tendrils that had been creeping around through the walls burst out of this man’s body and began spreading out to cover the area. I cocked back my arm and tried to throw some sort of light from my palms, hoping to fry the man’s (now monstrous) form, but nothing was coming out. The B6 and Calea were just making things all too vivid and the situation was too fucking intense. Control didn’t come easy at all.
We were on the run again. I had one friend left and we were going all through the hallways trying to find away out. Even though I knew I was dreaming, I couldn’t fight the Calea and B6 and pull my wits together long enough to find a way out of this dream, so we continued to do it the old fashioned way; searching and running. Sooner or later we found ourselves at the beginning of this loooooong hallway. At the end of the hall was a single window….and it was daylight outside.
Just as I’d started to wonder if we were going to be able to make it through the hallway without incident, I could see the tentacles breaking out of the walls and ceiling of the hallway, starting to fill up the space, making a constricting tunnel of grasping arms waiting for us, should we try to reach the window.
I remembered a technique I’d been thinking of (while awake) to try out in just this sort of bad dream situation. I was able to focus for just a moment and pushed all my energy outward from my center, straining and growling a little bit to really exert force. My body burst into a blaze of my energy, as if I was a Dragonball Z character, creating a force-field around me. I pushed outward a little more and it started burning all of the things that were trying to reach out and grab us, without harming the friend that was with me. (Which, of course, looks kinda like this )
Protected by this burning glow, I grabbed his wrist and did a forward dash, flying straight for the window, torching away the entire 50-something-yard hallway of shit as we cut through it like a hot knife.
We smashed out the other side of the window and landed on a concrete walkway, outside.
It was a foggy, early-morning. This was when I saw that the outside of the house looked like a big, inner-city warehouse or factory. With this moment of relief, I tried to focus and withdraw from the dream one more time. I closed my eyes and tried to pull all my senses back to the waking world. Wrong. When I opened them, the world around me was 150% vivid. Much more than before I’d tried to eject from the dream. I was anchored in that intense dream state that I’ve only experienced through B6 and Calea.
The tentacles were starting to grow back, in the hallway we'd just exited, and they began trying to crawl out of the window, toward us. I jumped off of the walkway and tried to fly out over the yard, but I couldn’t get the speed I was looking for, and it was like trying to move through water, while flying. Thinking of the “Tremors worms,” I think it would be a really bad idea to land on the grass, and that made me start to sink toward the earth. The yard in front of the building was huge, and I had a long way to go before I was out of it. I turned around, hovering, and tried to keep my feet from touching the ground, which was freaking hard. I’d given up trying to get across the yard and ended up…eventually…making it back to the first walkway. I figured it would be a better idea to keep to the concrete and make my way away from this place, since I was having so much trouble in the air.
As we were leaving, a little girl - about 10 years old and wearing a black hoodie, with the hood back - walked down the stairs at the end of the walkway toward us. (I think it was my daughte - a little older than she is now - but I’m not sure, because I don’t remember her being with us while we were running through the house.) She had this ominous look in her eyes as she looked at me, asking my permission (which is what made me think it was my daughter, even more than her appearance) to “take over out here,” as well.
Noting the terminology she used, I could see that the “house” obviously had possession of her. Sternly, I told her “No. You can’t.” She stared at me for a moment, obviously disappointed, and then turned around to walk back in the house. As she did that, she held a hand out, beside her, to trace her fingers along the wall - like little kids do. I noticed then, that - instead of fingers - a few small strings of those familiar tentacles slithered out of the hoodie sleeve and caressed along the wall. With a creepy nonchalance, she slowly walked up the steps and disappeared back into the house.
(That’s all I really remember. There was another sequence that involved going to a house with a bunch of college kids having a party, and getting bad vibes and looks from them. I don’t know if it was the same dream and we went to that house after escaping the first, or if it was a completely different dream all together. Doesn’t really matter, though, because I don’t remember it.)

"Resident Evil: Insurgency" - 06/10/2007
"Resident Evil: Insurgency"
06/10/2007
(Damn, I wish I could remember more of this one. It was epic. But, I was about wasted, last night, and tired as hell, so I slept like a rock.
Anyway...
Apparently, I was a female cop in this dream. The entire dream was set in a massive police station, and was obvoiusly based off of the Resident Evil video game series.)
There was a zombie/monster outbreak, and we were all (the cops) fighting for our lives to survive this huge wave of undead/alien things that had swarmed the station.
The station, itself - like all of the settings in the games - was enormous. It even had these underground chambers and tunnels that connected it to a few other buildings in the nearby area. If I'm not mistaken, there was another female that had some sort of control over these creatures and she was like my nemesis - or something - but I don't remember too much of that.
I do recall that, at one point, I had a Heads-Up-Display shift into view, in my perspective, which showed stats and items and would go from green to red, the closer one of the bigger monsters got to me.
There was one scene I remember - when the attacks first started happening - where a bunch of the other cops and I were in a break-room area. From down the hall, I could hear explosions and people screaming. When they were getting closer, I could hear a deep voice saying "Booooom!" between explosions. Apparently, along with zombies and other creatures, we were also being attacked by the "Boomers" from the game Gears of War, who carry around triple-barrelled rocket launchers.
When this one came into view, it was standing directly between us and the armory, which held all of the weapons in the station. We all scattered, and I hid behind a section of metal lockers and shelves. From the other side, I could hear the deep-throated "Boooom!" and explosions as the Boomer put the smack down on whichever of the officers couldn't get out of the room in time. It was coming closer, though, and it was soon trying to squeeze between the small space between the wall and shelves that I was hiding behind. I was now cornered behind these lockers (which was strong enough to block the rockets, somehow) and this big, ugly beast was trying relentlessly to muscle and claw its way at me.
Some of the other officers started calling out to the Boomer, to get it away from me and, when it turned to chase them down the hall, I was able to come out from behind the wall and run across the way, to the armory.
I shut the door and began gearing up. I remember grabbing a few handguns, an automatic shotgun, an SMG with a sideways-folding stock and a kevlar vest, just in case.
Then, locked and loaded, I ran back out to join the fight.
(It was fitting the vest on, over my breasts, that is the only thing I really remember that confirmed that I was a woman, in the dream. The dream was really long and detailed, and I wish I remembered more of a timeline, but it was pretty tight, nonetheless.)

"Portal-Painting Power Struggle" - 03/05/2018
“Portal-Painting Power Struggle”

Dream #2
Dream #2
This was a false awakening, in which I “awoke” in my bed, to find out that were other people there. Apparently, they had stayed the night and were also waking up, on a mattress in the middle of the room. I recognized my daughter as one of them, and the others seemed like little cousins or friends of the family, or something of the sort. The smallest one was little more than an infant and, once he had finished playing with the others, he crawled over toward me. When I picked him up, I noticed that the child was disabled and disfigured; missing one eye - and, I think, an arm - and generally looking to be in pretty-horrific shape. Despite my reflexive, momentary revulsion at the unexpected sight, I continued to hold the boy and to play with him while we sat on the bed, trying not to pass any judgement or make any assumptions about why he looked this way.
There was a large painting, hanging on one of the walls of the bedroom, and I eventually walked over to it. Two cats were perched upon the top of the frame, one of them a kitten that was little more than the size of a mouse. At one point, I think the kitten fell off and I could feel its tiny claws as it scurried up my leg and back on top of the frame, where it had been. Somehow, I came to find out that I could put my hand through the painting (though I wasn’t lucid) and, soon afterward, my head. It was, apparently, some kind of portal, and on the other side, it was some dark, derelict hallway, with seemingly ancient tools and artifacts hanging around. I could barely see them in the dim light that only seemed to come from the side of the portal with my bedroom. With a strange sense of “this is all normal,” but too timid to walk fully through the portal, I grabbed one of the nearest artifacts – a spearhead-looking object with thick, round, decorated bulb between the two ends - and pulled my upper-body back through the portal and into my bedroom.
Either the people in the room had aged, or they were a completely different group, but I began telling them about the portal and what I found. (I don’t really think my daughter was still on scene, at the time.) They were all really interested and one of the girls said she wanted to try it. I told her that it was "just like lucid dreaming; you just imagine the painting isn't there." (Way to miss that dream sign!) She gave it a shot, stuck her head in and then back out, excited about what she'd seen. They followed me, while I walked to the living room (which was unfamiliar to me), and set the relic on a fireplace mantle. Surprisingly (now that I'm awake), I started telling them about the history of the relics, and how some people in history - like my ancestors or something - traveled to that other world and came back with similar items. After a little more discussion about what else might be on the other side of the portal, my “guests” suddenly changed their demeanor and became frantic and aggressive, sounding off, with alarm, about how they’d “found the portal" and the item(s) they apparently needed, in order to resurrect some evil witch from whatever realm existed beyond the portal.
They attempted to grab the relic, just as I pulled it back down, off the mantle, and we began started struggling over possession of it. During the scuffle, the group began chanting some kind of incantation, trying to rush along the resurrection of this entity, before I could pry the relic from them. While they chanted, a glowing, red hole opened up in the floor of the living room, and a wailing, ghostly woman shot up out of the ground and started flying around the space over our heads. I think the group of subordinates figured they had done their part, because they either let go of the object or I was able to pull it from them. The witch swooped around over me and tried to grab at the object. I did whatever I could to keep it from her, but I wasn’t able to get away from her, because she was just flying too fast for me to move very far, in any direction. Finally, she made what appeared to be one final dive toward me, shrieking and stretching her hands out, to either grab for the relic or attack me, head-on. With no other option, I did the first thing that came to me, instinctively; I lunged forward, to intercept her, slipping the sharpened point of the object passed her hands and stabbing her directly through the face with it.
Instantly, she crashed down to the floor, in her own blood, dead.
Everything fell silent, and I looked back over to the group that had summoned her. They wasted no time in turning around and bolting for the front door. Even though they got away, I was left with the overwhelming feeling that they would be back, again, at some point.

"New World Disorder" - 12/08/2016
"New World Disorder"
12/08/2016
12/08/2016
T, B, M and I decided to infiltrate a Neo-Nazi rally.
We were being led down into what seemed like an underground garage, surrounded by Neo-Nazis. Most were stereotypical - white, with shaved heads - but there were a few minorities speckled throughout the crowd as well. En route to the meeting area, we passed through several rooms that looked as if they were ripped out of the "generic haunted house" handbook; various torture chambers - both physical and psychological - with a number of digital monitors showing compilations of gruesome acts of violence that were, undoubtedly, being performed on the people being held captive within this place.
We were herded into a main room and shuffled our way toward the back of the gathering of maybe a little over 100 people, trying as best we could to blend in as sympathetic to their cause, in order to observe their actions and rhetoric. One man spoke from the podium and, though I can't really remember much of what he said, it was all too constantly met with cheers and chanting from the mob.
Before long, the rallying cries began to take on a tone of suspicion and accusation, waves of negativity progressing through the crowd and making their way back toward us. The group was becoming more and more alarmed that there were traitors or 'outsiders' among them. It didn't take long before we were confronted and discovered to be...disloyal. A long chase inevitably ensued, and we were soon sprinting through the halls of this expansive facility, which was gradually morphing from a dank, dilapidated, present-day industrial setting and into a sanitized, futuristic and seemingly state-funded Base of Operations with grayed-out metal and stone interiors that looked pretty-distinctly Sci-Fi. Armed sentries pursued us while we dodged and darted within the halls, at one point coming to an annex and staring down the barrel of a massive cannon that they had instantly erected in our path before we changed directions and ran down an other hallway before the group of henchmen manning the unnecessarily-large weapon could get a single shot off.
Having split from my group while running, I was being tailed by a small squad of Nazis (now in even more militaristic attire), when I turned a corner of an apartment-style hallway, ducking into the first open door that I saw and closing the door behind me. Inside, I ran into a young woman who was quite startled by my having barged into her room. Frantically, I whispered a plea for her help and gave her a brief rundown of what had happened. Apparently, she was one of many people being held by these fascists against her will, so she was willing to aid me by shoving her into her closet. The patrol kept on searching, so I had to remain in this cramped space for most of the day. The girl ended up taking a nap on the bed across the room, and there eventually came a knock at the door. The guards were doubling back and checking the rooms, individually.
The girl didn't hear the first few knocks, or the demands for the door to be opened. Fearing they were going to burst in and search the place, I picked up a shoe from the closet floor and chucked it across the tiny apartment, hitting her with it and waking her up just in time for her to respond to the guards. She tried to get them to leave her be, but they insisted upon coming in, just before I was able to fully shut the closet door - which the girl noticed. She tried to keep their attention from the closet but, from the darkness, I could see that they were starting to glance over toward my hiding place in suspicion. When they did, the girl raised a huge stink about how they were immoral thugs, disrespecting her privacy. She was even able to call in another female friend to back her up. The friend came in, immediately chastising the guards for being so cruel as the pair whipped up some crocodile tears and began to console each other for this apparently sexist infraction. The newcomer seemed to know all about the rouse, and was playing along perfectly.
It worked. The guards, not wanting to get too caught up in this seemingly-overwhelming display of female emotion, ended up leaving the room without fully searching the place. The two strangers had saved me, and when I was sure the patrol was gone, I set back out to find my friends.
I remember one last fragment about being on the outside architecture of the base, maybe a few hundred feet above ground and cornered by the patrol, yet again. I don't recall how the whole thing ended, though.

(Possible inspirations: a topic recently came up, where some friends and I were reminiscing on a time when we created fake accounts for Stormfront.com, which is a "White Nationalist/Supremacist" website, and did a hilarious trolling raid on them, some 10 years or so ago. Obviously, with everything that has been going on in American politics, as of late, the subject matter has been on my mind.)

"The Loneliest Ghost You Know" - 11/19/2013
"The Loneliest Ghost You Know"
11/19/2013
11/19/2013
I had befriended a young boy, in this dream, who was probably around 10 or 11 years old. He told me that he was constantly bullied, and just didn't seem like he had any friends, so I was as nice as possible to him and found out that he actually had a lot of character. After hanging around for a while, I agreed to help the boy find friends, in order to show him that bullies didn't dictate whether or not he was worthy of friendship.
The dream skipped ahead, and I had arranged something of a party at the boy's house. There were a bunch of my friends hanging out, playing video games with him. Apparently, the kid was loaded, because the house looked like a mansion, and he had pretty much every video game system known to man. The TVs were so large that they took up almost entire walls. Gaming went on for a while before we actually realized that the boy's parents were nowhere to be found. When I asked about them, the kid let us in on the fact that he was an orphan and there was no one to watch over him (which, I guess, just kinda 'made sense', in the dream).
C (someone I know in waking life) was there, and we got into a conversation about the future of gaming, virtual reality, and the Oculus Rift. We then began to play a Nightmare on Elm Street game (which was a game that I loved, back on the original Nintendo. This one, though, was 3D, completely immersive and had incredible graphics). I commented on how I wondered what that game would be like, in VR and, before I knew it, I was inside the game. It was a survival horror game, and Freddy was constantly popping up around corners and disappearing into the darkness and whatnot. I had quite a few encounters with him, and it was getting so intense that I was beginning to feel myself being cut by his fingernails when he attacked...and he was relentless. As much as I tried, I was just never able to escape him. He just kept finding me and slashing/stabbing me. It was becoming more than I could bear.
Before long, I was back outside the game and everyone else had gone home. The boy was really appreciative that I had not alienated him and actually made him feel like he had friends. He told me that he wanted to show me something and began heading through the house. I followed him, curious as to what it would be, and it was then that I noticed exactly how enormous this house was. To say it was a mansion would not have done it justice. The further into the house we went, the more I realized that, without the boy, I could have been lost in this place forever. Soon, we were travelling through the dark recesses of the house; climbing over stones and wooden beams, and through crawl-spaces that were getting increasingly too small for me. I almost got stuck a few times. I don't remember if we were heading up toward and attic, or down into the earth beneath the home. All I know was that this place was seeming less like a swanky, multi-million dollar mansion, and more like the dank dungeons of an ancient, deserted castle.
We arrived at an old room, which, at first glance, looked as if it could have once been a large living room. It was still rather dark, but I could tell that the room had aged in ways the rest of the house hadn't. Obviously, no one had set foot in this room in a very, very long time. Upon one wall, I could make out a fireplace, and the closer I got to it, the more I could see large clumps of material laying about the floor. After a few moments, I was able to make out what they were. They were bodies. Human bodies. At least a dozen of them. They had long since rotted away and were little more than clothed skeletons by now. The clothing they wore suggested that they had been royalty - jewels; crowns; the whole works. This room was one big, royal tomb.
The boy began to tell me about the family - his family - and about his past. I don't remember a lot of the story, but only the main element, which had to do with him, specifically. He told me about how he'd once had a very close friend; a little girl. They were inseparable, he said, and her friendship was apparently the dearest thing to him. As he told me about her, my point-of-view changed, and I was actually witnessing the story as if I had been there. I saw the outside of his house, and realized that it actually was a castle. One day, long ago, the little girl had fallen into the moat, which ran around the perimeter of the building (which I don't recall seeing, earlier in the dream). Unfortunately, the little girl could not swim. Her friend - the boy telling the story - saw it happen, and immediately jumped in to save her, knowing that he, himself, also didn't know how to swim. (Apparently, this kid's parents were just never around!)
I watched, disembodied, as the two kids struggled to get back to the surface, but it was no use. The little girl was the first to drown. When she stopped fighting, the boy looked over to her and I could see the pain on his face. He no longer seemed to care about even saving his own life, refusing to abandon her. He only floated there, staring into her eyes and cupping her face in his hands. The boy then leaned in, placed a kiss on the little girl's lips and submitted himself to drowning with her, without even so much as gasping for air. He simply gave up.
After the story, I was back in my body. The boy brought me to a corner of the room, where he showed me one of the bodies. It was his own, and it was no bigger than he was now. My new friend, I finally realized, was a ghost. He had been haunting this place ever since then, but sometimes wandered out into the rest world. It seemed that he was flesh and blood, since everyone could see him, but he was definitely dead, and he proved it by showing off a number of 'powers' he had as a ghost. (I don't remember much of that part, but I know he had the ability to move stuff with his mind and turn himself invisible, for starters.) I asked him about the bullying he mentioned, and he explained that he was constantly being picked on by others, and it made him more and more withdrawn from the world. He felt that he was better off alone. I told him that, with the powers he had, he had no reason to allow others to bully him. The things he could do commanded respect from even the toughest of bullies. He was to be feared, if he only had the confidence to apply himself. He liked the idea, and by the time we were done with our conversation, I could tell that he had a new sense of pride to him.
We walked back out of the castle (which I believe was now an actual castle, with a drawbridge at the entrance), and there were two teenage boys walking up toward us. They were apparently no strangers to the young boy, because they began hurling all kinds of insults and curses at him. I simply laughed and tried to tell the kids to get lost, because they were asking for trouble that they didn't want any part of. They, however, kept on pushing and pushing, trying to egg the younger boy into a fight. Finally, the little ghost had had enough. He threw up his hands and hundreds of bright strands, of some sort, flew out toward the larger one of the bullies. The strands snaked around the bully's body, wrapping him from head to toe before solidifying into what looked like white bandages. The ghost had just mummified the bully in front of my eyes. There was an astonished silence, as neither I nor the other bully could believe what we just saw. Suddenly, there was a violent burst of energy from the 'mummy', and a steam-like mist sprang out from between the bandages and landed in front of us. The mist gained shape and mass, and we were soon looking, again, at the larger bully, who had escaped the bandages through some sort of magic of his own.
Grinning, the bully revealed to us that he was also a ghost, and that the younger boy had no power over him.
I woke up immediately after this.

"Dueling Dragon" - 06/15/2006 (Lucid)
In this next dream, I found myself in a large industrial yard, enclosed with high walls around every side. Everyone was hard at work at building something or other, and there was a long, inverted conveyor belt over our heads. It carried these big, bell-shaped weights that must have weighed 5 tons a piece. After watching this process for a few minutes, I then noticed that one of the bell-shaped weights didn’t quite look right. I couldn’t put my finger on the reason for it, at first. But then, the whole thing seemed to sort of unwrap itself; practically blooming, like some great dark orchid. What I first thought had been a solid, metal structure, stretched itself out to a wingspan of at least 40 feet. It was a dragon, hanging upside down from the conveyor belt like a giant vampire bat.
The very instant that I figured out what this thing was, it dropped down from the overhead belt and descended upon the yard. Yard workers started running and screaming everywhere as this thing was bellowing fire all over the compound. I remember that, while I was trying to get away, one of the huge weights fell from over top of me. I forgot who it was (someone I know in waking life), but someone yelled at me to get out of the way. I looked up just in time to see the falling weight, and then I quickly dove forward, landing on the ground just as the weight smashed down behind me. Had I been where I was, a split second ago, I knew I would have been pulverized by the heavy object.
I think the impact shook another one loose because, as I turned over on my back, there was another weight falling down toward me. I rolled to one side as fast as I could, and just BARELY got away from that one. It was so close that I think it landed on the sleeve of my shirt. I quickly rose to my feet, and discovered that I was one of the last people in the yard. Most everyone had fled through cargo doors on all sides of the yard, and most of those doors were now closed. The dragon was doing fly-bys and pretty much just napalming the area with its breath while I searched frantically for an open cargo door. In running from cargo door to cargo door - trying to stay out of the beast's sight - I saw that each door was set far enough back into the stone walls so that, even if the doors were sealed, I would still have a little nook in which to hid, even if for mere moments, while I scanned around for another door to try. Sprinting toward what might have been the last door I might have been able to try, I was running parallel to a wall while the dragon was swooping in behind me. It had me targetted and was closing in fast. I looked at the wall beside me and had the sudden urge to try to run along it (ala Trinity, in The Matrix) Then I suddenly remembered how often running on walls has made me realize I was dreaming, in the past. Upon this realization, it then dawned on me that this, too, was a dream.
The dragon was now just a few feet behind me, and streaking in at full speed, like an falcon dashing in to pluck a rodent from the earth, upon its flyby. At the last moment, still in my own stride, I pivoted slightly to one side, dashed toward the wall and ran up it, diagonally. Following through with my changing center of gravity - as my body leaned to accommodate my now using the vertical wall as my floor - I then rotated into a sideways flip off of the wall, which carried me up over the passing dragon. Having cork-scewed my way over the creature, I landed on my feet on his opposite side, just in time to see the beast swooped back up into the sky, now in front of me. I ducking beneath the cargo door overhang and took the moment to gather. With the knowledge I was dreaming, I decided to turn the tables on this fearsome devil and I then stepped boldly out into the center of the yard.
The dragon had landed, by then, and was now standing with its back to me. As I walked out further, it slowly craned its head around toward me - followed by the rest of its body. What happened next is a bit of a blur, but I vaguely remember the dragon exhaling a huge stream of fire in my direction. No longer the least bit worried, I then put up one hand and used the knowledge that I was dreaming to keep the fire away from me, putting up a sort of invisible shield between us. Though I don't remember actually seeing a full shield around me, but - while I was standing inside this inferno - I could see what looked like a light blue 'wave' of interference, where the fire was colliding with my force-field. (Pure Neo moment, right there. Haha.) I also remember doing a little bit of hovering around the yard, and throwing some fireballs of my own at the dragon. (Never really stopped to think whether or not fireballs have any effect on dragons, but oh well.)

(Never really stopped to think whether or not fireballs have any effect on dragons, but oh well.)
Anyway, somewhere throughout this little battle, my feet were back on the ground and I had forgotten that I was dreaming. No longer in control, I wasn’t making any progress in fighting this dragon and was, by now, looking for a way to escape. There were still a few survivors of the dragon’s invasion, who were scrambling toward these vents in the ground - that I hadn't noticed until now. I ran over to one of them and jumped in. Now in the company of a few of the survivors, we spent some time trying to navigate these underground vents, and they were getting smaller and smaller, the further down we went. Sooner or later, I was getting very claustrophobic and wondering just how the hell we were going to get out of this labyrinth of stone tunnels and archways. But then - as worry began to hit me - I remembered once again that this is all a dream!
So, even though I was a good 20-30 ft underground and encased in a concrete shaft, I bent down and drew all of my focus to my legs, then blasting off like a rocket and flying straight up through the ceiling of the shaft, boring through all of the earth above me and then exploded up into the yard again. I landed next to the fresh hole I'd made in the yard, and got ready for round two with the dragon. However, instead of the dragon, I was staring up a (humanoid) giant. He was big and lumbering, and he stood over me, looking down at me as if I was I was his next meal. I had been completely unprepared for this.
This surprise stripped me of my lucidity again, just as this giant started reaching down to catch me in his hand. I started ducking and dodging the numerous swings from this “guy,” and was again looking for a way out of the yard. One humorous thing I can remember is how Dumb this giant seemed. I mean he was “dduuurrrr” dumb. But he was strong and he was fast and - at probably forty-something feet tall, - that’s all the advantage he really needed. I do remember he was treating me like a toy and considered his trying to kill me as “playing with me.” Across the yard, I caught a glimpse of one of the cargo doors that wasn’t closed all the way. There was about 2 feet of space beneath it. Freedom awaited. I ran toward the door as fast as I could, and could hear the giant’s feet as he thundered after me. Having no time to stop, I dove to the ground on my stomach and slid under the door.
What I didn’t realize was that the entire industrial yard sat high atop a single rock formation. It was a column of earth and stone, which stretched up from the ground for what seemed like miles. As I slid out from under the door, I went over the cliff-side (which was about 5 feet from all sides of the industrial yard) and grabbed hold of the grassy ledge while my legs dangled over the distant cityscape far below me. The giant obviously didn’t know about this either. He just came crashing through the cargo door and the concrete above it - oblivious. I think he almost stepped on me, because I let go and ended up falling down beside the rock column just as the giant was falling as well. I caught myself on something though and wasn’t that far away from the top when I stopped falling. Hanging on for dear life, I looked down and saw that the giant had latched onto something also, and was now beginning to climb back up toward me. I started climbing also - up and to the left - moving clockwise up the rock formation like a mountain climber as the giant ascended after me. It was The most insane feeling to be scaling this pillar of rock, thousands of feet above the ground, with a huge giant coming up after me.
But, to make a long story short (as if that’s possible ,at this point) the giant somehow ended up losing his grip and falling down to the earth, from a distance so high that there had already been a few clouds between us and the ground. I don't really remember whether or not I heard the impact of him hitting the earth, though.
Shortly after this, I woke up.
