"UFO, EMP, WTF" - 01/13/2011

"UFO, EMP, WTF."
 01/13/2011

I had been hanging out with a few friends. JH was there, and there were a couple of girls along with us. We'd spent most of the night just partying and getting into a lot of shit we weren't supposed to be. I remember being in a garage, sitting in the passenger seat of a car, and one of the girls from the back seat slithered up front to sit on my lap. Looking back, though, I can't say that this was a girl that I actually knew in waking life.

Later, we were supposed to be headed to a house party but, when we got there, it was completely abandoned. It was the middle of the night, and there were still a couple of cars outside, even though there was apparently nobody home. Ultimately, not caring that the place was deserted, we all just decided to hang out there, anyway, and have our own little party. So, we started just hanging out and getting hammered in the abandoned home. The whole thing seemed completely wrong, though. Everything was dark and ominous, and the house itself had a really run-down, horror movie type of feel to it, as if it was a cross between the Bates Motel (Psycho) and Springwood High School (A Nightmare on Elm Street). Even though we were trying to disregard it - and having a grand ol' time doing so - there was still this foreboding feeling that we just shouldn't be there.

After some period of time, we were all outside. The house was somewhat in the sticks, and even though there was a least one neighbor nearby, there were acres and acres of open land around us. Suddenly, in the dead of night, we heard the electronic whir of some sort of aircraft above us. We looked overhead and there was a small cluster of about three spot lights beaming down, through the clouds, and sweeping over the house and surrounding area. The machine was hovering, just too high above the mist for us to make out its shape. Still, it was easy to see that it was like nothing I'd ever witnessed. Just as suddenly, a convoy of military vehicles roared onto the scene, tearing through the grassy field beside us, and apparently chasing the flying vehicle, which had shifted off to the clearing behind the house. There was something huge going on, and we weren't even sure if we were allowed to be on this property. We figured that it would probably be best to get the Hell out of the area, before the military decided to come back, and 'interrogate' any witnesses. However, when we tried to start the cars, they were all dead. Everything electronic was dead. Initially, we figured, that thing in the sky had triggered some kind of EMP, and that we were now stranded. (Didn't realize that this didn't explain how the military was able to drive in across the field. Oh well.)

The next thing I knew, it was the following morning. I vaguely remember waking up in a friend's car. We were trying to leave again, and this time, the car actually started. The only thing left was for me to check my car...which was nowhere to be found. I exploded into panic, jumping out of the car and scoping around for mine. JH suggested that I might have parked it around back, with some of the others (and, now that I think of it, I don't even remember having my car, at the beginning of the dream, so this panic attack I was having was completely nonsensical. Haha.). I went around the side of the house, and into the back yard. There were a a few cars back there, but most of them looked run down, and mine was nowhere in sight. I'd gone back around to the front of the house and found the rest of the group in the garage. They were tending to the girl who had been with JH, and she was, apparently, very sick. She had these mysterious bruises that just showed up, all over her body, and there was suddenly blood all over the portion of the car where she was sitting, which was unmistakably hers. Everybody was freaking out, because this girl was visibly getting worse, by the moment. I was immediately reminded of the parasitic vines in the movie The Ruins, and I couldn't help but think that this girl had them crawling around beneath her skin. If she was somehow infected with these parasites, we were all in grave danger, and we had to get out of there. Like Now.

There simply wasn't enough room for all of us to drive off in the only car that we had (there seemed to be more of us there than when we arrived), so I knew we needed some other mode of transportation. I ran back around to the rear side of the house and started looking for a car that might actually start. There was a really dope-looking, customized Camaro, but it turned out to be a complete junker that simply didn't run. Another car, which seemed suitable from afar, suddenly morphed into a child's Power Wheels type of toy, as I got closer. Finally, I came across another car, which looked a lot like mine, except that it was a convertible and a different color. We somehow got it started, piled ourselves into both vehicles, and drove away to try to get some medical attention for the girl's presumably alien affliction.

That's all I remember.

"Don't Drink and Drive" - 10/24/2007

"Don't Drink and Drive"
10/24/2007
Dream #1

My mom's boyfriend and I were driving home from Daytona, and we were wasted. It was his car and he was driving (though he is not one to drive drunk), so I was laying down in the passenger side, dozing off. We ended up riding through the hood, and I noticed that he wasn't stopping at the stop signs. I could feel that he was just rolling through them and, sometimes, not even slowing down for them while making turns. I started telling him to watch what he was doing, because we were going to get stopped by the police. He just laughed it off and said that he was fine and knew what he was doing. However, he just continued driving recklessly, running signs and not seeming to know where the hell he was going. I was still finding it hard not to doze off, though. We pulled up to a wide cul-de-sac, and he was talking to a large crowd of people. Some random girls kept leaning in the window and trying to talk to me, but I wasn't paying them any attention.  Soon, we were back in motion, and his blatant, drunken carelessness was starting to get to me. I told him he needed to watch what the hell he was doing and no sooner did I say that, than he ran directly into the back of a parked car. The car rolled forward, as if in neutral, and slammed into a house across the street.

I told him "That's it, I'm driving. Get out," and we switched places. Now, behind the wheel, I started trying to find my way out of the neighborhood and then noticed that I was having a hard time working the brakes. It seemed like - whenever I tried to hit the brakes with my right foot - my foot would phase right through the pedal, or it would be missing, completely. It took me a few tries - and a few ran stop signs - to figure out that I had to use my left foot for them, as if I was working a clutch. We came back around to wide street, where a bunch of thugs were hanging out. One of them had a really nice car, and there was another that was blocking the opposite side of the road, a few feet behind the first. I had to try to squeeze between these cars but, when I came upon them, I used my right foot again, and it went through the brakes. Unable to stop, I scraped our way up against the entire driver's side of the nicer car, completely ruining it. It was like an old impala or something, that was utterly pimped-out, and I'd just destroyed it. Having no second thoughts about not stopping, I hit the gas and took off.

We weaved through the neighborhood, and I saw a cluster of police lights, up ahead. I turned down another street, and then another, trying to get around the cops. When I came upon the next intersection, though, they were already coming my way, from one side. I tried to stop at the stop sign but, again, I used my right foot, which went right through the brake pedal as if it didn't exist, and we rolled through the stop sign, almost hitting a lady cop on her motorcycle, in the middle of the crossroads. Both vehicles came to a stop, and she got off of her bike. She didn't seem the least bit upset, though, and we just started making some small talk. Somewhere during conversation, our car had inadvertently turned into a motorcycle, with me in the front, and Mom's boyfriend behind me. (But, of course, I didn't notice this other, massive dream-sign. 😒)

She treated us like we were ridiculously cool, though, and ended up giving us the cheesy "finger-guns," gesture, when she walked back to her motorcycle. When she got back on, she looked back at us and said something like "You know...when I do this to someone" (and she did the finger-guns again), "I usually expect to get it back." The way she said it implied that she knew that we were really nervous about something. I quickly recovered and said "...oh...well, you know, in this part of town, doing this (I did the finger-guns back) to anybody could get you killed...especially to the police." She laughed a little at that and said, knowingly, "You two be careful." I could tell, without a doubt, that she knew we were drunk.

She drove off, though, and we went home.

"Haunted House Task Attempt" - 10/03/2007 (Lucid)

"Haunted House Task Attempt"
10/03/2007
Dream #2
(Lucid)

The first thing I remember of this one is being in an execution chamber. Some guy was about to be put to death for some sort of crime, and I was one of the people in the "audience." (Is that what the call the groups of people watching this kinda thing?) Instead of sitting, I was kinda walking around the chamber. Near the opening to the chamber, I remember seeing this strange, black-shrouded figure just standing there, looking into the chamber. It looked like Death, himself, but I couldn't tell because I could only see the figure from the side and the hood was pulled up over his/head.

In another small corner/room, somewhere near the chamber, a woman had followed me in. Before I even knew what was going on, she came up to me and started seducing me. It was somewhat dark in the room and there seemed to be a shadow over her face. It didn't take her long to win me over and, soon enough, we were making out, pretty heavily, in the small room. As things were heating up, I wanted to get a better look at her and so I planted her back up against the wall where a light was coming in through the window. When I looked up, I saw that she was probably 65 years old or so!

Instantly, I could tell, by her expression, that she was hurt by my surprise at how old she was, and that she knew that I was probably not going to let this go any further. All of a sudden, the realization came to me... I smiled at her and said, "Don't worry, we can do something about that. This is just a dream, anyway." I put both hands above her forehead, saying "Let's try to bring you back a few years," and slowly brushed my hands down the front of her face. As they moved lower, I could tell that my suggestion had worked. She, now, seemed between about 19 and 23 or so, with short, purple and blonde streaked hair. She smiled at me and we continued to go at it. I pulled her away from the wall and slid around behind her, embracing her with one hand up her shirt, and one down the front of her pants, kissing the side of her neck.

I heard something outside and looked at the windows that surrounded the room on three sides. There was a huge group of people out there watching us. They started banging on the windows, obviously pissed off, yelling things like "Hey!! What are you doing in there??!" and "Get away from her, you alien!!" (Whatever the hell that meant. ) They had flashlights and kept shining them in our faces. We continuously screamed at them, to leave us alone, but they simply wouldn't leave. Finally, I got pissed off and stepped away from the girl, for a second. I put up my fists in front of me and screamed "Rrrrraaaaaaahhhh!!" pushing energy outward from myself. All the glass windows shattered outward and knocked everyone outside on their asses, like I was a bomb that had just gone off in the room. Even the girl in the room with me ducked and covered.

The sound of raining glass subsided and the crowd got back on their feet. I thought they would have left us alone, but they came back and kept yelling at us through the window. They said the cops were coming and we were going to get in trouble. I told the girl just to forget about them, because this was my dream, anyway. Just as we started making out again, more flashlights appeared - this time, attached to taser guns. Two cops had showed up and were ordering us out of the room.

Finally, fed up, I said "Fine. You want me to come out there?" I left the girl in the room and flew out through the window. The cops kept telling me to get on the ground or they were going to taser me and I said something like "You guys just have no idea what you're dealing with here, do you?" I held up one hand and pointed at one cop's taser gun. Flicking my wrist, I telekinetically made him point the taser at his partner and shoot him in the chest. No electricity ran through it, though. The guy pulled the prongs out of his chest and they both turned on me and fired. The prongs stuck in my chest and they felt like staples. Again, though, no electricity ran through them. What really hurt, however, was when I tried to pull them out. It was like they had reverse-hooks in them, like arrowheads, and tore at the skin when I had to yank them out. (I've never been tasered, before - and I don't own one - so I don't know if they actually have those hooks on them. Probably.) The cops kept firing them at me again, so I started to fly backward. I happened to see a power-line hanging over them and I mentally made on of the cops turn and fire his taser up at the power-line, trying to electrocute him. Again, there was no exchange of electricity. I didn't feel very grounded, in this dream, though, and it was beginning to unravel, so I decided to ditch the cops and fly away, before I woke up from trying to concentrate too hard.

I landed in front of a house in the neighborhood and remembered the current, Halloween-themed Task of the Month, from the DreamViews forums, which was, simply, to explore a Haunted House. The house looked more homely than haunted, and there was a porch light on, which definitely ruined the effect, so I turned around and faced the other way, trying to see if I could make it transform by the time I turned back around to look at it. While I was looking the other way, some guy ran up to me and said that the cops were chasing him, too, and asked if he could hide out with me. I said "yeah," and turned back around to the house. It hadn't changed. I thought that maybe I could simply change the inside into a spooky house. Reaching around behind me, I visualized an imitation Ghostbusters Proton Blaster into existence and swung it around in front of me. It was very faint and unsolidified, but it was there.

Opening the front door, I walked in and found...disappointingly...a normal house. There was a bunch of kids roaming around, as I went from room to room. I cracked open one door, and a couple in bed jumped at the sight of my ghost gun and covered themselves up with the blankets, defensively. I left them alone and walked up into the attic, hoping to find something haunting around up there. After a while, in the dark, I was further disappointed to have encountered nothing. Without bothering to go back the way I came, I justphased down through the floor and went to go find another house. On the way out, I tried to phase through the front wall but ended up running into it, instead. I tried again and, as I went through the wall, everything went black. I could feel myself waking up, so I completely relaxed and just tried to visualize the outside of the house. Soon, I was back on the porch, having more "teleported" to the front of the house, rather than gone through the wall.

I was getting really frustrated at how unstable my dream and control were, so I decided to just go flying for a while, as things weren't looking really promising on the whole "Haunted House" front. As I was flying down the street, I looked at my hands, and they were wavy and distorted but, in the night, I really couldn't see much detail. Then, I looked up at the sky, thinking about trying to fly into space, because, with all the instability, I really couldn't see this dream lasting much longer. I was just about to fly toward the moon when I heard some kid screaming hysterically "Mommy, mommy! I killed Daddy! He's Dead! He's Dead!!" I thought to myself that the kid's dad's ghost might be roaming around, so I went and landed right beside him. I said, "you killed your daddy? Where? Show me?" He said, "over there! He's dead!!" and he pointed to an unlit house across the street.

Immediately, I flew to the house and followed the sidewalk, around to the front door. Sitting on the porch was an old man, slouched over in a chair. From what I could see, it looked like he was missing an eye, but it was hard to tell in the dark. The guy suddenly stirred in his seat and groaned a little. He sat up and looked in my direction. Off to the side, I heard the kid, still screaming, hysterically: "You're supposed to be dead!! You're supposed to be DEAD!!!" like he was just as upset that his dad was alive, as he was when he thought he was dead. That's when I realized that, since the guy had been sitting outside, I wouldn't have completed the task anyway, because the objective was to go into a haunted house. So, still frustrated, I tried to pull out my Proton Blaster, again, and give the guy a good zap, for getting my hopes up. It didn't really materialize, though, and the best I could do was kinda point my fingers at him and make a fake gun noise with my mouth. LOL.

Obviously, he didn't think it was funny, though, because the last thing I remember was him responding to the taunt by getting out of his chair and kicking me square in the nuts...

...Mean old bastard. Lol.

The dream then faded and I sat in a void for a little bit, having felt myself beginning to wake, again. (For a short while, I tried to relax myself back into the dream. It never happened, though, and I opened my eyes and got out of bed.)

"Deadpool Ruins Everything" - 01/24/2019 (Dream Chain)

"Deadpool Ruins Everything"
01/24/2019
(Dream Chain)

Part 1:
I was part of an organization set up in a tall office tower. It was night out, and we'd been tipped off that someone was planning to infiltrate our building and steal some of our weapons technology. We were devising a plan to catch the thieves, setting up a trap, in the CEO's head office, and we brought in Tom Cruise to be a stand-in for the CEO, fitting him with a ridiculous wig and setting him in the boss's chair, his back facing the door. The rest of us hid, out of sight, and waited for the attempted heist that we knew was coming.

Before long, a woman walked into the boss's office. Since my vantage point was mostly at her back, once she came in, I was unable to see her face. From what I could recall, though, she had short, black hair and was wearing what looked like a white lab coat. She walked up to the back-turned boss's chair and issued some kind of threat or demand to him. Then, the chair spun slowly around and Tom Cruise revealed himself as an impostor, and the trap was sprung, thwarting the attempted robbery.

Part 2:
(I don't believe I awoke, between this dream and the previous one, but the scenario was so different that I can only count this as being a completely different dream, and not a continuation of the first.)

I was at a house party, in a suburban area. It was an overcast day, and everyone was still inside when I walked out to the carport. While outside, I was approached by a guy that seemed to have wandered up from off the street. He was a scruffy, leather jacket-wearing white guy, who looked like he could have been part of a biker stereotypical biker gang. He stepped up to me, rather arrogantly, and started spouting off about something. I don't remember whether he was being racist or just had some sort of issue with me and my friends (I distinctly remember him using some kind of "us vs them" rhetoric), but he was certainly challenging me, and I could tell that he was looking for a fight.

After a brief pause, just when it seemed as if he was contemplating swinging the first punch, he suddenly reached into his jacket, drew out a pistol, and just started firing off rounds, at point-blank range, just as I lurched away in shock. At least two of the shots hit me, around my left shoulder. It was a dull feeling of pressure, rather than any sharp pain, but I could immediately tell that I'd shot. I rolled behind something, for cover, and drew my own pistol, popping back out of hiding - just as he was reloading - and pulling the trigger in his direction. I'd forgotten to flick the safety, and the gun didn't fire. Then, I clicked the safety with my thumb and tried again. Nothing. There was no round chambered, which was unusual. While I fumbled with the weapon, trying to chamber a round, the guy finishes reloading and actually starts monologuing, while raising his gun back up at me - talking about how his choice of firearm was superior to mine and that's why he won this gunfight and blah blah. Before he could finish, though, I got the round chamber and started firing away, at him. I could see that I hit him a couple of times before he disappeared around a corner and ran off.

Still injured (which was a general feeling of being drained, rather than - again - any actual pain), but not about to just let this dude get away, I immediately started chasing after him. I saw him jump into an old car and speed off. I jumped into mine, parked nearby and took off after him. Speeding through the neighborhood, we took a turn, at the end of the street, onto a main road. I pulled out my tactical flashlight and attempted to zero-in on his rear-view mirror, to see if I could mess with his vision, while driving, but I don't think it was very effective. (It's something that I've thought about having to use for self-defense, in waking life.) The light was uselessly dim, though, and I remember trying to plug it in to my car charger. Luckily, he was approaching a traffic jam and had to cut off of the road, and through someone's yard, dipping back into the neighborhood on a parallel street to the one that we were recently on.

Cutting the corner and following behind him, I watched him bail out of the car and run between some of the houses, jumping out of my own car and following. A few people poked their heads out of their homes, to see what was going on, and I finally saw him, close to where we started. Another short firefight broke out, and I was able to put maybe five or so shots in him, dropping him down in the grass, dead. Not wanting to just leave the body in the yard, I - rather illogically - decided to drag it over to my car, thinking the trunk would be 'too conspicuous' of a place to leave him and, instead, dumping him into the back seat. Immediately after closing the door, I called the police to report what happened, citing self-defense, and walked back to the party house, nearby.

Back inside, the party was ongoing. I was still feeling weak from the bullets I'd taken, as I was telling my girlfriend, and friends, about what had happened. The front door opened, and a parade of about a dozen cops, in tactical gear, filed into the house. They began to walk right passed me, so I got up and walked over to them, telling them that I was the one who called in, and that I could take them to where the body was. The followed me out the back side of the house, and we walked across the yard toward the house behind us, since my car was still parked on the next street over. It was now night-time, and the yards seemed to stretch out for about half a football field. It seemed strange, to me, and oddly familiar. (What I didn't realize, until later, was that the yard and morphed into the courtyard outside of the tall office building from my previous dream.)

Coming around to the next street, still in the suburban neighborhood, despite the short view of the metropolitan courtyard, I led them toward my car. Walking in that direction, I started to see bright flashes of light, coming from inside my car. It was as if a flare was burning, or someone had turned on a strobe light. All I could see was the light, and it bathed out anything and everything inside. Then, I could just barely make out a figure in the flashes. At first, I thought it was the man whom I'd shot, but when I got closer, I could see that it was Deadpool. He was making these really animated, cartoonish gestures in the back window, at us, between the flashes, and the first thought to enter my mind was that he was going to screw with the evidence and ruin my self-defense case.

Now running, frantically, toward the car, I actually yelled out: "No no no no...WHY IS DEADPOOL HERE?? WHY IS HE HERE??!" I reached out and tried to open the rear, driver's side door, but the door just burst open, throwing me back to the roadway. Deadpool instantly popped out, armed to the teeth. The squad of cops saw him and immediately engaged. An absolutely insane battle broke out, right there on the street, and Deadpool absolutely wrecked these police officers. Gunfire and swords and explosions and body parts were just flying about this tempestuous cloud of white smoke under the streetlights. Within the fray, it seemed like Deadpool actually had help, as there was clearly some other figure in the battle, helping him out. I was thinking it might have been Cable or Domino, but I never actually saw them.

Suddenly, the back of my car just exploded in the battle and was flung across the street, toward me. I was still halfway sitting on the ground, and I was so in shock at everything I was witnessing, that I didn't even bother to move. The whole trunk area of my car was about to slam into me with what could have only been lethal force. Then, just before impact, the hunk of metal stopped as if it had been caught, mid-flight. I'm not sure if it was Deadpool that caught it, or his ally, but Deadpool was soon standing right beside me and leaning down in my face, saying something like: "Hey, next time something like that happens...try moving out of the way," in his trademark, jokester fashion.

The last thing I remember is him walking away, nonchalantly telling me that it was His team that attempted the heist of the office where I had been working (back in the first dream). He said that they already knew about the trap we were springing (which is what made me believe the woman in the lab coat was Domino - though I remained unable to actually see who he was with, presently), and that they were still successful in stealing the company's weaponry, which were the weapons they were just using against the police.

(I've had many cases of the narrative of separate dreams weaving themselves in with each other, but this one was probably my favorite. Absolutely nuts. Lol. Also, I've been painting a picture of Domino, lately, as well as looking through some great Deadpool cosplays, which would explain why the characters were on my mind.)

"Dream World Academy Dorm Life" - 04/12/2018 (Lucid)

"Dream World Academy Dorm Life"
04/12/2018
(Lucid)

(Having awoken, at about 8:30am; used the bathroom and set the intention on having a lucid dream; I got back into bed and fell back asleep, slipping into a false awakening.)
I sat up in bed, trying to adjust my eyes to the light coming in through the partly-draped window. My bedroom was strangely lit and seemed too dark for the amount of brightness shining from behind the curtains. Remembering that I’d just been fully awake, moments ago, and the room had been filled with sunlight, I deduced that I had done a WBTB and this was a false awakening. I knew I was dreaming. There was a hazy, almost ‘drunken’ feeling, when I looked around, as if I wasn’t fully immersed in the dream state, and I reached out to touch my wall and then ran my hand across my blanket, feeling the texture. At the same time, I repeated to myself “I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming…” (which I continued to do, periodically, throughout the rest of the dream), and I was immediately grounded into the dream – all of the visual details sharpening and making me feel more ‘present’ in the dream state. Leaning across the bed, I went to flip on the light switch, and it didn’t work. I found it slightly amusing that I even assumed it would have.

With this weird ‘light window, dark room’ duality still going on, I stood up and walked over to the window, itself. I raised a hand to the glass, and tried to phase through it, but the window resisted. Having to take a moment to re-affirm that this was still a dream, I tried again, and this time, my hand sunk into the window, up until about the elbow. I pulled my hand back out of the glass and immediately began thinking about what I wanted to do, now that I was fully lucid. I remembered that I wanted to try to find the Dream World Academy and started trying to think of the best way to go about it. Even though I knew I was dreaming, I had a momentary apprehension about roaming around undressed, but I think I quickly pushed the thought aside, because I was soon leaving the room (but I don’t remember if any clothes “materialized” on me or not. I never really thought about it).

Outside of what was, once, my bedroom, I was standing in an enormous hall, that looked like it belonged to the same kind of architecture that I’d seen outside my window. I wondered if roaming the interior of this building would be the best way to go about finding the Academy, or if going outside might be of more help. Deciding on the latter, I turned around and went back into the bedroom, walking back over to the window. This time, I pushed my whole body forward and phased through the window, now standing on a ledge about 5 stories from the ground.

Below, I could see a handful of people going about their business. My first thought was to jump from the ledge but - being that this dream was, now, extremely vivid – I didn’t want to just do something idiotic and impulsive, just because I was sure this wasn’t waking life. Thinking better of it, I slowly began to climb down from the ledge, testing my own body-weight, in order to see if I was able to defy physics without going too far. By the time I was hanging from the ledge, with one hand, I could feel that it was effortless. I seemed to way only a fraction of my actual weight. So, secure that I had enough control over gravity, I let go of the ledge and slowly hovered my way down to the ground.

Right around here, I vaguely remember something about someone’s cats approaching me and climbing all over me – refusing to leave me alone. It got extremely annoying, but didn’t last very long. I ended up going back inside this massive building, now on the ground floor. It had a very “campus-like” feel to it and, though the halls were completely empty of people, I had a feeling that this might have actually been my subconscious mind’s rendition of the Dream World Academy. The more I settled into the thought, the more I wanted to find something to actually confirm it.

I remember visiting 3 rooms, specifically. The first, was sort of a living area, which was the first place that I actually saw people inside. It looked kind of like a two-story apartment, and there were some college-age kids lying around, one of whom was at the fridge, in a tiny, open kitchen. Deciding not to disturb the scene too much, I kept wandering, and came upon a set of double doors. The doors opened into kind of a lounge, where [much-older] people were hanging around. It was more like a “study” room, and it was clear to see that these people were either “professors” or on staff of some sort. One man, with a bushy, gray bed of hair on his head motioned for me to leave them alone and go down the hall to where the younger people were hanging out. Again, not wanting to get too lost in the narrative, I left these people and continued down the hall.

By this time, I was beginning to feel that this place didn’t have a very “Dream World Academy” type of vibe to it. Without really knowing what to expect, as I walked through the [kinda boring, actually] hallway, I began to focus my attention on the desire to get something a little more ‘mystical’ or ‘magical’ out of the environment. Soon after, I was starting to see random Halloween decorations gradually adorning the walls. (I suppose this was my subconscious mind’s way of ‘mystifying’ up the place. Lol.)

When I stepped into the final room, I was surprised to be walking into a full-on college party. It had a dark, almost “Halloween Party” feel to it, but I don’t recall if there were any costumes involved. I didn’t make any immediate moves to interact, and just observed everyone while I walked through the room. There was a pretty large dude serving drinks, who didn’t look thrilled at the way I was studying him, and he grunted “What?” I simply said “nothing,” and kept walking. While navigating through the crowd, I began to remind myself “I’m dreaming. I’m dreaming…” One of the DC’s – a bit of a jock / “bro” – seemed to notice me doing it, and asked me what I was talking about. I told him, matter-of-factly, that what I said was that I was dreaming, and that they were all all figments of my imagination. Apparently, he didn’t take too kindly to that. He started saying stuff like “what?? No we aren’t!” and turned toward the crowd, yelling out “Hey! This guy says we’re not real! He thinks we’re all in his imagination!” I remember growing annoyed with him, but not really caring about the crowd’s response. I just continued on and tried to ignore him.

The next thing I remember is being outside, and riding on what I believe to be another DC’s motorcycle. (I get the feeling that someone let me ride it and that I didn’t just steal it, but who knows? Lol.) During the ride – and the more I got sucked in by the experience – I was beginning to lose lucidity and becoming immersed in the realism. It didn’t take long, though, before the bike started going out of control, and speeding straight toward a concrete embankment which led into a small body of water, in the middle of this city – like a flooded parking lot or something. All I knew was that I couldn’t stop, and I was about to drive straight into the water at a high speed.

Suddenly, I remembered, again, that this was all a dream. Just as the bike splashed into the flooded area, I leapt from the seat - vaulting over the handlebars and attempting to levitate myself over the water. My feet hit the deep water below me, but instead of sinking, I slid across the water, as if it were a slip-n-slide, coming almost to a hovering stop before focusing more on lift and flying up and off of the wet surface. Soon, I was flying through the city, between the high buildings on either side of me.

Maybe a dozen stories above the street, I flew toward an intersection, trying to think about what else to do, before the dream ended. No sooner did I begin to think about my options, than I saw two figures jump across the gap between the buildings at the crossroads – right across my path - and land on the rooftop off to my left side, without breaking momentum. As they ran across the top of the building, I made a quick left turn and followed, dropping down on the roof and running after them. They were robots, apparently – visually similar to something from Chappie or Real Steel – and the soon noticed that I was chasing them. Immediately, one of them turned and ran back to confront me, seemingly providing interference while the other continued to make its escape.

The robot dashing toward me (which was bright red, and larger than the other) was obviously not about to try and communicate, so I squared up in a Muay Thai stance and clashed with him. (This was the first dream fight I’ve had, in a long while, where I could actually remember a lot of the blow-by-blow. Lately, the details of most of my fights have been hazy, at best, and almost completely forgotten, most often. This was very vivid and intense, though.) There was a lot of punching and dodging, and we were perfectly playing off of each other, as if it was a choreographed, cinematic fight, but the one thing that really stood out was the first time I landed a roundhouse kick - right to the robot’s torso - and felt the kind of painful, metallic *CLANG*, against my shin, that made me second-guess whether going all out on this robot, even in a dream, would be more unpleasant than adventurous. The fight went on for a short while, but my attention began wandering over to the robot that had gotten away, wondering if I could defeat this present threat in enough time to catch up to the other robot and find out what they might have been up to, in the first place.

It was right around this moment of scattered focus, that the dream unraveled and I woke up.

========================
Side Note: I find it funny that the big robot I fought was bright red, which is the same color as the stand-up kickboxing pad I practice on, in my garage. Lol.

"Repugnant Reflection" - 10/13/2007 (Lucid)

"Repugnant Reflection"
10/13/2007
Dream #2
(Lucid)

(I tried a WBTB, after my Nazi dream from the same night, and got the Dream Views Advanced Task of the Month Done!)
This one started with me sitting at my computer. I'd downloaded some strange "3D Software" that let you rotate the camera views on normal video files as if they were filmed in 3D space. For instance, I started watching The Matrix and, during every scene, I was able to move the camera angles around, in real time, so I could watch any part of the movie from any angle. It was awesome.
Anyway, my buddy, Mike, came over, even though it was like 11:30 at night. He just showed up, and mom got out of bed and let him in. He chilled for a while, and I tried to show him this new software, but I couldn't find the Matrix movie, anymore. I, then, started looking around for other movies, but couldn't find any of them on my hard drive. After a long while, without finding any of my movie files, Mike ended up just going home without ever seeing the software in action.
Later, I was watching regular TV, and there was a documentary on about a planet. It was a really weird planet that was shaped like a squared doughnut and had stripes running around it. The camera panned out, from a close-up view of the terrain, to a wide shot of the entire planet, and I soon noticed that I was no longer watching the TV; I was as actually inside the program and looking down at this planet from space.
I quickly realized that I was dreaming and floated there, for a moment, looking at this odd planet. Figuring I'd rather spend the rest of my dream down on Earth, I decided I would fly down toward the planet and sort of 'turn it into Earth', as I got closer to the ground. I flew downward, as fast as I could, breaking through the atmosphere and watching the ground begin to come into view. The more it approached, the more I saw it looking like Earth. Soon, I was coming down over a cityscape and then diving straight toward my house. My body phased through the roof of my house and, before I knew it, I had landed in my room.
I remembered how I always had trouble flying into space and, feeling a little adventurous, I figured that - since I came down from space so easily - I might be able to get back up there. Testing the troublesome ability, I flew straight upward and and tried to rocket into space again, however, this time, phasing seemed to be more of a challenge, and I got stuck in the ceiling of my room. (DAMNIT I hate when that happens! :P)
I pulled myself back down, out of the ceiling, and landed on my floor again. Trying to think of something to do with the rest of my dreamtime, I suddenly remembered the 'Advanced Task of the Month', from Dreamviews.com (which was to "Find Your Reflection in a Mirror, Pull it Out, and Ask it Why We Dream"), and my bathroom was right across the hall.
Immediately, I ran out of my room and into the bathroom, noticing, on my way there, that mom was sleeping on the couch with a blanket, which she never really does. Closing the bathroom door behind me, I looked in the mirror at my reflection, which was, surprisingly, not deformed or disfigured. At first, I just asked it "Why do we dream?" and it just stood there and looked at me. Its lips never moved when mine did, and it just gazed at me, stoically. I, then, remembered that I had to reach in the mirror and pull my reflection out, in order to complete the task. So, I began to dip my hands into the surface of the mirror, but I was feeling some resistance. It felt like the mirror was trying to solidify with my hands inside, and I couldn't get anything passed a few inches above my wrists into it.
That was far enough, though. Curling my fingers around where I figured the back of my reflection's head would be, I pulled toward myself, trying to bring the entire body out. I was only able to pull 'him' out a little bit, to where the face was sticking out of the mirror by just a few inches. Concluding that this was far enough to count, I asked again, "Why do we dream?" Again, my reflection just stared at me, blankly, and blinked its eyes a few times, unwilling to answer the question.
I got kinda frustrated and just let go, and the reflection snapped back into the mirror. Turning my head left and right, I noticed that my ears were actually much smaller than they are in waking life. Then, I heard my mom down the hall, opening my bedroom door as if she were snooping around in the night, and this broke my focus. It completely threw me out of lucidity, and I opened the door, suspiciously, asking what she was doing. She struggled to provide an explanation, and we got into an argument about privacy, but I forgot the dialog and the dream ended shortly after that.

"Blackmail: Return to Sender" - 12/08/2010 (Lucid)

"Blackmail: Return to Sender"
12/08/2010
(Lucid)

Some goons had kidnapped my daughter.

They were using her as leverage, to blackmail me into coming along with them and helping them to commit an armed robbery. With no other choice, I went along with it. I don't remember very much of the whole situation, as it began, but it involved being something of a point-man in the heist, within a enormous estate home. The squad of thugs were charged with keeping the people in the house at bay, while I was supposed to be the one who actually went in to steal whatever was in the safe. It wasn't long before the occupants of the house began fighting back, though, and soon there was an insane firefight going on. I wasn't fortunate enough to be given a gun so, once I had what I came for, I had to haul ass through the house, ducking and dodging as guns were blazing around me. For the most part, the folks in the house were completely outgunned, and there were innocent people dying all around me. The inhabitants of the home figured me to be one of the bad guys (which, in essence, I was), so I ended up having to grab a pistol off of a dead man and shoot my way out, rounding the stairwell and rushing down, level after level; covering my own ass with frantic shots until I made it to the ground floor.

I rushed outside of the house, gunfire still crackling in all directions. As I was running, a van hurriedly pulled up beside me, and the door opened. Still at a sprint, I jumped inside the van and we sped off. I had completed my mission and gotten the goons whatever it was they were searching for (though I don't remember what it was. The whole thing felt much like Cobb's attempted escape at the beginning of Inception). All I could feel was that the victory was a bit dubious. I wanted my daughter back, but I felt horrible about all of the people that had to die for me to complete my objective. To make things even worse, I was greeted with the old bait-and-switch, for my services. The goons refused to give my daughter back. They said that they would need me for another job or so, before they would consider returning her to me. Needless to say, I was furious. I was not about to be made into a lap dog for these sons of bitches. I knew I had to do something about this.

Half-heartedly - and biding my time while trying to think of what course of action to take - I agreed to this new mission. It was supposed to be another armed robbery, much like the last one. I was told that the Head Goon was going to be there, himself, so I had a 'plan' on how I was going to end all of this. It was half-baked, but it was the best I had. Somehow, I had the luxury of having my good friend, T, be my transportation to this heist. We were in a car that I don't believe was his Jeep, but he was driving. We had to circle the neighborhood a few times, and wait until the goons had already secured the house, which seemed like a cross between an old house of mine, in Houston, and my Grandmother's house, in Daytona. Also inexplicably, I knew that there was a rack of weaponry waiting for me, down the street from the target home. My "employers" didn't know about this, and it was my intention to use these to get close enough to the leader of the group to take him at gunpoint, and bargain his life for that of CJ. Like I said; half-baked, but what other choice did I have?

Making one of our rounds, we stopped over at this rack of weapons (which was, amusingly, just set up right beside some random house - all out in the open) and stocked up. T already had a handgun and ammunition in his car, just in case, but I needed to get my own. Going up to the rack, though, I saw that the only gun it had was a model of a real piece. I didn't even think it was functional, but for some reason, I packed it anyway. There were no bullets on this rack of weapons, but T's bullets were able to fit in my 'model' gun, and that made me a little more confident that it would fire. After loading it, though, I didn't dare test it, because we were in a neighborhood and didn't want to draw too much attention to ourselves before getting the job done. I also grabbed a samurai sword from off the rack and slung the sheath over my shoulder. Packing a modest amount of arms, we went back to circling the block. On what I thought was our last pass, we saw the goons storm into the target house. I knew that I was going to be on, in just a few moments. T was beginning to lose his nerve about having any part in this, though. I told him that he was going to have to stop and wait for me to come back out of the house, but he didn't want to stop, even to drop me off. We just kept driving around the block while I argued with him about how I had to go through with this. Another pass. Now, there were people streaming out of the house, some of them dragging their bullet ridden bodies under their own power, clinging desperately to their lives. I knew that there was going to be no other chance. Again, I told T that he had to stop, so I could get this done before the cops came. And, again, he doubted the situation just long enough to roll passed the house again. Sure enough, on our next trip around, there were cop cars in the driveway. I knew that, If I were to go in now, I would have bought myself a 1-way ticket to prison. It was too late to complete the job as ordered, anymore...I had failed.

Then I got a phone call. The leader of the goon squad said that he wasn't even present, during the heist. He had been testing me, and I let him down by not completing my task. He told me to report back to him, because we had some things to 'discuss,' and it was the most ominous thing I had heard in my life. He still didn't know that I was armed, though (if you could call it that). We drove down the block, still in my grandma's hood, and I got out of the car, staring at the house, knowing the shit was about to hit the fan. I didn't plan on making much small talk...at all. I was going in there determined to get my daughter back, by any means necessary. Clutching the pistol and sword, and making my way up to the door - practically on fire with anticipation - I suddenly realized that I was dreaming! I was absolutely ecstatic. Lol. Any trace elements of fear that I'd had just moments ago (and there was a lot of it) instantly disappeared. This entire scenario had just done a complete 180, and now, even though I was fully aware that this was not reality, I damn sure wasn't leaving this scene without settling the score.

I burst into the run-down old house, immediately stepping in and waving the gun around. There was one guy on a couch to my right, another standing in a hallway to my left, and the leader was directly across the room from me. He sat in a chair, smug, with a gun in one hand and my daughter in his lap. She sat rather stoically, looking at me with a calmness in her face as if she was just waiting patiently for this to be over with. I glared at the leader, beginning to walk toward him (before this time, I had never actually seen him, and he reminded me a lot of Victor Sweet, the demented, ego-maniacal villain from the movie Four Brothers). The guy on the couch suddenly threw out his arm and aimed his gun at me. I aimed back at him and tried to pull the trigger. Nothing. I squeezed it harder. Still nothing. Even though I was lucid, the gun was still acting like a damn model! I just couldn't squeeze the trigger. Even when I clutched it with two hands and squeezed with both index fingers, it wouldn't budge. I thought that it should be easy, since I was aware this was just a dream, but no matter what I did, this gun just would not shoot. Frustrated, I began taunting the guy on the couch. I dared him to shoot me, telling him that he could take all the shots he wanted, but it wasn't going to stop me from killing every single one of them, beginning with him. I began to slowly walk in his direction.

He fired. Anticipating the attempt, I swung my hand up in front of me, imagining the bullet hitting my palm and snatching it out of the air. He fired again. My other hand raised, slapping the bullet off to one side while I continued in a steady pace toward him. His shots came in quicker as I advanced, and I simply stopped paying attention to the bullets, stalking toward the increasingly terrified man. His bullets pelted lightly off of my chest like grains of rice against cowhide. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that the leader was getting uneasy, too. He tried getting my attention and stalling me with some talk about how he "knows me" from somewhere, but I completely ignored him. I would get to him...in time. But for now, I was relishing in the moment.

By this point, I was standing right over the man on the couch. He had stopped shooting, and his eyes were wide with fear. He was shaking. Again, I tried to squeeze off a few rounds into his stomach, from point blank range, but the gun I held was completely useless, and I just didn't have enough control of the dream to overpower it. I finally threw it to the ground, having had enough, and reached around behind me to pull the samurai sword out of the sheath over my shoulder. The last thing I remember, before waking up, was the look on the goon's face when he realized that he was about to be carved into tiny little pieces.

"Little Girl Ghost" - 07/20/2007

"Little Girl Ghost"
7/20/2007

(This dream seems eerily familiar. It feels like I've had it before (with subtle differences), but I can't say that I have.) I can't exactly remember all the details, but it was set back in my old neighborhood (as so many of my dreams are). I had a bunch of friends and family members over; mostly little kids and people my own age. There were a lot of strange things going on, between my house, and the house around the corner, which is the house to/from which most of us were going back and forth, throughout the dream. It was really late at night. A lot of the kids dipped into my stash of fireworks and went running around outside to start playing with them. I followed them, trying to get them to knock it off, but they were still able to set a few off before I confiscated them, telling them all that it was way too late at night and that my neighborhood was much too close-knit for them to be doing that. Basically, a couple of others and I were the only ones old enough to be keeping an eye on these kids.

Well, I can't remember how, but I was somehow tipped off that there was a ghost that was roaming around between our houses. (I had watched an episode of Supernatural last night.) Strange things kept happening; objects falling off of counters/shelves and whatnot. I believe I even caught a glimpse of her - who turned out to be the ghost of a little girl - out of the corner of my eye, a time or two. She was a somewhat vengeful spirit and definitely had some specific, unfinished business. These are all vagaries, though. My recollection of this dream, for the most part, is Really hazy.

Apparently, I spent a large portion of the dream trying to convince one of my friends that there was the ghost of a little girl roaming around. He wouldn't believe me, at all. At one point, we were walking in from outside, as I was telling him about the ghost, and he was like "Yeah, right, man. You're cracked." Just as he said this, I noticed he hadn't closed the back door, as we walked through it. I turned and told him to close the door. Just as he turned around and held out his hand to the doorknob, the door slammed, by itself. I knew, instantly, it was the ghost. I said "SEE?!!!" and he just looked at me, like it was so obviously the wind, though there was none. He scoffed a bit and we kept walking.

Later, we were sitting in the living room. I forgot how this part began, but it seemed that one of the little girls in the group of kids we were babysitting could actually see the ghost, all the time. She was having conversations with it. I brought her to my friend and said something like "She can see the ghost." I told her to point to the ghost, and she pointed just a few feet in front her. I asked her if she could talk to the ghost, and she nodded her head. She started translating things back and forth, but my friend still wasn't buying it, writing it off as just another stupid little thing kids do. I told the girl to ask the ghost something that was impossible for the little girl to know. She did, and told my friend the answer, but I can't remember what it was. This peaked his interest, slightly...but Only slightly.

Well, there is a lot more to this dream, that is all a blur. I know word started to spread (and evidence mounted) of the existence of this ghost. She had something that needed to get done, and I'm pretty sure her ultimate goal was leading us to her killers (but that whole concept is really blurry, so I'm only assuming that's what it all came down to). None of the older people were buying into it, though, until this one particular scene, when we were all getting in my car, to go somewhere. We all got in and I turned on the car, and then chaos ensued: All the doors locked; the horn started blaring like an alarm; the stereo turned up; the windshield wipers came on; and the engine started revving. We all freaked the hell out. The car started moving itself - jerking violently forward and stopping, forward and stopping, forward and stopping - over and over again - before slamming into the parked car near the house in front of us. Everyone inside my car was screaming. Through the panic, I pointed through the windshield at the other car, and said "LOOK!!" We could all see that the same electrical insanity that was happening to my car, was happening to the other car, simultaneously, with the exception that we were all locked in my car, and the doors of the other car were all opening and closing by themselves. This ghost was obviously REALLY pissed that she wasn't being taken seriously, by so many. And she'd definitely gotten her point across, this time.

The door locks eventually disengaged and we were freed from the car. From this point on, we were all pretty much watching our backs, avoiding looking into the shadows for fear that we'd see this dead little girl staring back at us. I can't remember how this went down, but we eventually found out what she was trying to do. Her killers were still at large   and we were somehow directed into going to find them. My car was wrecked and a tow truck came. The guys in the tow truck were let in on what was going on (while all other kinds of spooky paranormal stuff was happening, throughout this time, that I really wish I could remember).

To make this long dream somewhat short: These freakishly large and powerful-looking tow truck guys ended up agreeing to give us a ride to where we told them this little ghost girl was directing us. We knew we could use them because even their looks alone were intimidating. I can't really remember what happened, when we got there, but I'm pretty sure it involved us all catching up to - and killing - the murderers;s with some help from our invisible acquaintance, if I'm not mistaken. Whether she actually Helped or not, I'm not sure, but after the job was done, and the girl was avenged, something had tipped us off that she was there with us. I just can't remember what it was. In any case, this later was confirmed when my friend (the one that was skeptical, in the beginning) knelt down to the floor - which was slick, wet, hardwood. (I can't remember what kind of liquid it was covered in. I'm pretty sure it wasn't blood, though.) He reached out to the floor, with his index finger, wrote the word "Hi" in the wetness - like writing on a steamed up window - and stood back up. We both looked at the word for a moment and then, next to it, a tiny, invisible finger slowly replied in the wetness: "Hi," and finished off by scrawling a smiley face beneath the lettering.

That's all I remember.
