"Taking Freddy to School" - 09/03/2007 (Lucid)

"Taking Freddy to School"
09/03/2007
(Lucid)

I was in a college stadium, near the top of the bleachers. It was pretty much empty, besides a handful of people scattered here and there. While walking through the bleachers, I began asking myself "...what the Hell am I doing in a stadium??"

After realizing I had to be dreaming, I became lucid and began running and jumping through the bleachers, performing high jumps from level to level. I was soon at the very top level of the stadium. I ran forward and did an impossibly-high flip with a half-twist, which carried me all the way over the bleachers, and out into the middle of the football field. Before landing, I had intended to make the ground break under my feet (because that would have been dope), but all I got was a massive BOOOOOOOM sound, when I landed, which was pretty cool, in itself. There were some female DCs standing around on the sidelines, and I went over to talk to them, but I don't remember our conversation.

Later, I was roaming around the campus at night, and came to a section with two rows of small buildings, set close together. I got the feeling that I was being followed and soon began to notice someone's shadow lurking around in the dark. Walking into an open alleyway, I looked down to the far end. Freddy Krueger was standing there, in his usual, arrogantly-casual stance. He slowly started walking in my direction. Having been about fed-up with Freddy in my dreams (we've had a couple of run-ins, by now, which haven't gone well for me), and since I was feeling a decent amount of control in this dream, I decided that we were going to have us a little one-on-one.

I held up my hand and visualized nails growing from them. It was surprisingly simple. They shot out of the ends of my fingertips, on command, looking much like his own. I ran in toward him; he ran back at me. We clashed in the center of the alley and had this badass, Kung Fu-esque, nail-to-nail fight. We were perfectly blocking and dodging everything the other was throwing - which was incredibly quick and fluid - and whenever we would have a claws-to-claws impact, sparks were shooting out from between us. It was so tight, and almost seemed like a live-action anime battle. Lol.

Finally (and completely unexpectedly), he actually gave up! (HA!) He said that I was damn good; that he respected me for my skills (I don't know whether he meant fighting skill or dream control skill, but I'll take it either way. Haha) and that he would now by my ally, and a sort of dream guide, if I called on him in the future. (Freddy Kruger as a dream guide would be amazing! Lol.)

Of course, I really didn't expect this encounter to carry over into any future dreams, so I just kind of said 'cool man' and went on about my way.

Sometime later, I had lost lucidity and was in one of the classrooms. Without warning, having been framed for something I didn't do, I was rushed by campus police. They took me down into a sort of school jail, where a few more people were locked up and I could await my fate. One of these cells had a door in it that was only about 2 feet high; It was more like a window than a door. The guards came in with another detainee and forecefully shoved him through the tiny opening, folding his body in half, backward - and apparently breaking his back - to fit him into the space. This immediately made me realize I was still dreaming.

I was lucid again. I wanted to look around for Freddy and started phasing through the walls, going from room to room. He was nowhere to be found, though, so I decided to go straight up and through the ceiling, since I knew I was underground. I phased upward, as high as I could, until I passed through the roof of the school and landed on top of it. Now outside, I took the time to look at my hands and stabilize the dream; my skin was all green and wrinkled. (I actually did this more than once in the dream, but I can't remember when the other time was or how my hands looked). Then, I went jumping from rooftop to rooftop, around the campus, which was a lot of fun. I landed in front of a sorority house type building, where there was a massive party going on. I went inside and joined in, and met some girl who seemed really familiar from waking life. Dunno who she was, though. Before long, we were making out up against a wall. Then, in a standing position, I pretty much just lifted one of her legs with my forearm, and we started going at it. I realized, after working her bra off, that she had three breasts (Total Recall! Lol) even though her bra had only been built for two. Awkward as it was, it didn't stop us. Sooner or later, though, something happened in the crowd that caused us to stop, but I can't remember what it was.

"Nail-Biter / First Freddy Encounter" - 03/26/2007 (Lucid)

"Nail-Biter / First Freddy Encounter"
03/26/2007
(Lucid)

(O.M.G. What a morning...
Ok, first, let me just say, here and now, that I officially submit (this time) to Freddy Krueger! I've kicked the Hell out of Jason Voorhees in lucid dreams, a number of times, but have always wondered what it would be like to face Freddy in the dream world. I've had one previous dream with Freddy in it - that I can remember - but all he did in that one was glare at me, sitting lazily in a chair as I passed by him. After the dream I'd just had a few minutes ago, though, I hope I never run into him again; unless I'm fully lucid, and mentally prepared for it, at least.

I had been feeling kinda sick, today. I came home from work early and decided to take a nap, wondering if I could induce a lucid dream - seeing as how I never take naps and shouldn't fall too deeply into sleep.)

There were quite a few elements tied into this dream, but I only remember a few of them. It started off at my aunt's old house. My mom and most of my other relatives were talking about us all going somewhere together, so I'd gone into a back room to change clothes. When I came out, I'd already been left behind with my little cousin (though I can't remember which one); apparently having been duped into babysitting her. Some time had passed, and I later recall going back in the same room where I had changed clothes. Once I entered, I noticed the door had disappeared, behind me. I was now trapped. The room was completely bare, except for a small dresser against one wall. It took me a minute to figure out, but, once I opened one of the dresser cabinets and moved a mass of clothes out of the way, I saw that there was no back to the dresser, and I could crawl through the small opening and out into the rest of the house. When I got back out to the living room, it turned out that a couple of my relatives were still there (including, randomly, a friend from work, to whom neither of us were related). My mom and aunt were still gone, though. I had no idea where they were.

There is also another fragment of a memory, within the same timeline, when I was outside my aunt's older house, and my uncle Larry drove by. It was night time and no one really noticed that it was him, except for me. He seemed to try to draw me to the car but, when other family members saw him and started trying to get his attention, he and his girl (who was driving) suddenly took off, suspiciously. That, alone, was weird, but it soon got much, much worse.

(Now, the scenery, toward the end of the dream completely changed. I still think it was still the same dream, though, because many of the same people were in it, along with a few newer folks. Mom and my aunt were still out on their unknown errand.)

The next thing I knew, we were all on a farm. There was a big, brown barn, and my cousins and I were running around on its flat rooftop, playing games like children. There was also a large swing set that was just a couple of yards away from the barn. Aside from that, there seemed to be nothing around but miles of high grass and trees in the distance. While running around on this wide, not-particularly-dangerous roof, I suddenly felt some strange, invisible force grab me, without warning, and fling me over the edge of the barn. While falling, I could see that I was dropping straight toward a rather large pile of old wooden beams and fence posts on the ground below. Aware that I had been on a roof that was a good 3 stories tall, I knew my landing was going to suck. Hard.

I crashed down into the beams and boards, helplessly, face first. My entire body was racked with a dull (yet potent) and throbbing pain. Slowly I picked myself up into push-up position, and could see that my blood was splattered all over the old, yellowed wood. The second that I realized the blood was gushing from my mouth - which felt like I'd stuffed my cheeks with a box-ful of rocks - I heard a loud creaking noise behind me and turned my head.

For no reason at all, the entire wall of the barn, nearest me, suddenly detached itself from the rest of the building and started tilting over...in my direction. The only thing I had time to do was curl up into fetal position before the heavy barn wall slammed down on top of me and broke apart, crushing me beneath hundreds of pounds of solid wood. I felt like I blacked out for a moment, but, next thing I knew, I was climbing out of the rubble while being pulled by friends and family that had been standing around during the accident. Some of my cousins - who'd been on the roof with me - were being helped too, having fallen when the wall (and, apparently, the roof) collapsed. As I got up, I felt just like..well...like I'd been crushed by a big fucking wall, actually.

Every bone in my body hurt. I had to stagger aimlessly, just to stay on my feet, and wasn't doing a very good job at that. By the time I stopped wandering, I was over by the swing set, where some of the others were recovering as well. My hand was covering my mouth, which was still gushing blood, and it wasn't until then that I found out why.

I had a mouthful of old, twisted, metal nails.

Not only did I have a mouthful of nails, but they were stabbed into my gums and my lips; every one of them twisted at multiple angles so that none of them would have any chance of coming straight out. Still in a state of shock after the "accident," I began twisting these fuckers out of my gums. It was, of course, THE MOST HORRIBLE FEELING EVER, let me just say. I could feel them sliding through my gums, grinding against my teeth. I could feel every corner of twisted metal as I had to turn them in different directions to get them to come all the way out. There was no real sharp pain, but the dull pain (which is all I usually feel in dreams) was absolute torture, itself. Every single nail was agony - so much so that I had to practically stop and rest after pulling each one out, and there seemed to be no end to how many of them were in there - ten at the very least. There was a time where there were two left; pointed downward from my top jaw; positioned like canine teeth. I actually thought about leaving them in there like that, because I didn't want to go through yanking them out. I knew I had to just suck it up and get it over with, though.

Some of the people around me were trying to console me while I was doing this and, at one point, I came along one more, reeaally long nail. I mean really, ridiculously, unnaturally long. The more I pulled it, the more I realized that it wasn't lodged in my gums. I could feel it gagging me as it came up my throat; 4 ft - easily - of thin metal, covered in blood. Eventually, it got caught on something within me, and I couldn't pull anymore. I was trying to think of what to do about this when the guy standing next to me nonchalantly says "Here, let me help you," and grabs onto the nail. I caught a quick mental flash of the direction the nail was facing. The pointed end was in the other guy's hand, and the nail's head was still inside of me, which meant---

I screamed "No wait!" and the guy yanks this damn thing out of my mouth, ripping a huge chunk of bloody tissue from inside of me, hanging onto the head of the nail like meat from a fish hook. I practically collapsed from that feeling.

I looked at this disturbingly long nail, thinking to myself "What in the HELL is THAT?!" and sat down on one of the swings, next to a little girl that was in our group, trying to pull myself together.

Within a few short moments, the sky turned a deep, threatening gray. The winds started picking up. Before anyone could figure out what was happening, the chains on the swing of the little girl next to me started slithering around her, like snakes. She shrieked and the chains coiled around her limbs; her neck; her torso. They began raveling her up higher and higher in the swing, slowly constricting her. Crushing her. I jumped out of my swing as fast as I can, wide-eyed, staring at the horror beside me. Then, I heard that familiar voice coming from everywhere at once; Freddy - his body nowhere to be seen. He'd begun singing "Rock-a-bye Baby" all slowly, as the dying little girl's swing started rocking gently back and forth. Just when I was about to haul ass from this Hellish scene, I suddenly felt myself swinging, even though I was no longer sitting in my swing. It was as if a giant, invisible hand had picked me up, in a seated position, and was swinging me back and forth on its palm, in place of the swing-set itself.

Instantly, I realized what was happening and screamed out something along the lines of: "Holy Shit, it's Freddy! I'm having a nightmare!!" and I could hear a few of the people around me screaming in recognition of his voice and name as they scattered away in terror. Now lucid, I threw myself forward as hard as I could and "fell off" of the invisible hand and onto the ground, picking myself up and running off to jump over a small, chain-link fence that everyone else was climbing before me. As soon as I vaulted over to the other side, I'd realized I'd had enough. After everything that had happened, I decided to throw in the towel instead of using my lucidity to actually try to challenge Freddy. The truth was: I was still in a panic and simply wanted no part of this nightmare. The last image I remember, before waking myself up, is of a lone figure, standing out in the middle of the grassy field. I can't specifically remember if it was Freddy or not but, by the way he/she was just standing there, watching us, it would only make sense.

(...I woke up feeling like I'd just been hit by a truck.

Looks like it's:

Freddy - 1
Me - 0

...and I'm ok with that. I'm not looking for a rematch anytime soon. =P )

"Fallen Prey" - 07/27/2006 (Chain)

“Fallen Prey”
07/27/2006
(Dream Chain)

Part 1:

(Wow….)

My earliest memory of this dream was being at this lakeside campsite at night. There were about 8-10 of my friends and family with me, and I do remember that my 5-year-old daughter was a teenager in this dream. I know that there was a whole lot of back-story to this dream, but my recollection of it all kicks in after all of the strange shit started happening, of course.

Apparently, there was this really weird guy staying in a trailer that was close to our campsite. (I believe the camp was in a state park or, something. Anyway...) Over time, we could tell that something just wasn’t right about this guy. I’m not sure what led to it, but, sooner or later, I had snuck into the stranger's trailer while he was out doing something, snooping around to find out more about him, after he had been giving us all the severe creeps. It was dark as hell inside the trailer, but I eventually stumbled onto his secret:

He was a serial killer, and hidden away in a number of pantries and closets in his trailer were the corpses of other campers.

Glancing out through the translucent curtains, I could see the man's silhouette. He was on his way back! I don’t know how, but I made it out of the trailer and returned to my group, to warn them, figuring I had gotten away without being detected. ...Nope. Not so much. The stranger was soon stalking us all through the darkened forest, threatening to kill us in ways I can't recall as of now. There was one point, when we were trying to escape on this really shitty piece of broken-up raft that was in the lake. There were about eight of us trying to fit on this one raft, and it was falling apart beneath us. What’s worse is that the murky lake water was ridiculously alligator-infested. So much so, that we had to actually step over the creatures when we waded, haphazardly, out into thigh-deep water, trying frantically to make the broken raft work to our advantage. Once I was aboard, a few of the gators began snapping at us, some of them taking large chunks out of the raft.

While fighting the gators off, one of the people in my group (dunno who it was) suddenly dropped to the splintering deck of the raft. Dead; shot in the heart from the unseen assailant.

More shots peppered in, around us. The killer was sniping at us from near his trailer, but we couldn’t see him at all because it was night time, and the trailer was about 50 yards back in the woods. As our attention went more to the bullets than the gators, another friend of mine scrambled into the path of one of the gators and was dragged underwater. Gone. This raft idea was not working. Even if we did keep the damn thing afloat, we’d be sitting ducks on the water.

We pulled it back ashore and I told everyone to sit tight. Frantically, I sprinted back toward the campsites, zig-zagging, as I could see the sniper-fire sinking into the dirt around me - following me on my race to grab our car, which I knew had a handgun inside. I vaguely remember having a fire-fight with this guy, while running back to pick up the rest of my group by the lake, but don't recall the details.

(I woke up shortly after this, and was up for about 15 minutes, before going back to bed and falling back into a continuation of the same dream.)

"Fallen Prey"
(Part 2)

Those of us who remained alive had arrived home, to safety, and were shacked up in my old neighborhood in Texas. It wasn’t long, though, before we realized the house was now haunted. (I swear, I can never get a break :| )

It started off, first, as a few strange occurrences. Shortly after the initial weirdness, full-bodied apparitions began appearing. I turned out to be the only person who knew who these ghosts were. They were the victims of the camp-killer, whose bodies I had stumbled upon when I raided his trailer. Not taking the time to stick around, we all hauled ass out of the house. More and more ghosts were appearing. There were about 6 of us remaining, and we all ran to the car. CJ, my daughter (still an older version of herself, in the dream), jumped into the driver’s seat. Without even giving it a second thought, I jumped in on the passenger side and everyone else climbed in back. Come to find out, my daughter was a HORRIBLE driver (which is hilarious because whenever she’s playing my Need 4 Speed game, in waking life, she’s always crashing and referring to herself as the “worst driver in the world.” Haha.), and was constantly stalling out and had no sense of direction. We eventually got far enough away from the house to come to a stop sign and for me to say “Alright, get out, CJ, I’m driving!” As we switched places, I could see people coming slowly down the street. There were too many to count. ...The ghosts were still following us.

I drove off and we went someplace downtown, trying to stay somewhere in public. There was this bar/pool hall/rec center place that we took up shelter in, but something seemed really strange about it, from the get-go. I was recognizing a lot of the people, here. One guy, in particular, was following me around through the crowd. I vaguely noticed there was a glowing, 2-digit number etched into his forehead. (Ever see the movie The Frighteners with Michael J. Fox?) He was a victim of the serial killer, and much of the crowd was made up of the ghosts that we’d just been running away from, moments before.

I was about to gather up everyone to get out, but realized that there was suddenly no way out. No way to leave. The doors had disappeared and everyone - including us - was inside was trapped inside. Then, it all began to make sense. The puzzle was beginning to piece itself together.

These “ghosts” weren’t threatening to us, they never were. They were trying to communicate with us, to tell us what I’d begun to figure out on my own. I stopped at the bar and looked at the bartender. He looked back at me, as if he knew what I was thinking, just by the look on my face. Not quite sure of the words I was searching for, I simply asked him. “I’m…..we’re……supposed to be here…aren’t we? I mean…we’re not supposed to leave….are we?” The bartender shook his head with a solemn look of pity and answered: “No….you’re not.”

My hunch was right. None of us had even made it out of the damn campsite. We were all dead – either killed by the psycho or eaten by gators. I have no idea which. Everything we’d experienced since getting back home (the haunted house; driving; this club) had been taking place in Purgatory. We were only able to see the ghosts because we were on their plane, and their fascination with us was simply that we were the newcomers. There really was no going back. Feeling about sick to my stomach, I sulked around the place, pondering over how I was going to tell the rest of my friends and family of the horrible revelation I'd had.

The dream carried on a while longer. I let everyone in on what happened and, over time, we came to accept this Purgatory, each finding our own little niche. I'd found this room where a bunch of guys were sparring on a huge, elevated mat, and I started taking on a few matches. One guy pulled out a pair of foam-rubber practice nunchaku and started tearing opponents up with them. I think it was a point system or something because it was all light-contact (which is kind of ironic, seeing as how we were already dead). Some other guy then threw me two pairs of them and I jumped in, whirling them around like a professional and completely dominating just about everyone else that stepped up on the mat. Good times. There was also a huge gym somewhere else in the building, where I played volleyball. I sucked Really Bad at that, though, and some girl, who looked a Lot like my friend Ame, kept giving me shit, every time I cost our team a point. Haha.

(That’s about all I remember, but damn, what a dream(s)!)

"Escort Servicemen" - 08/22/2011

"Escort Servicemen"
08/22/2011
Dream #1

I was a soldier during a modern war, and we men were going through some sort of archaic rite of passage, where we had to choose wives from a crowd of random women, and prove ourselves capable of being their protectors/providers by escorting them through this sort of 'bonding' exercise. That exercise consisted of leading them into a hostile area - which was, basically, a live-fire obstacle course - reaching a checkpoint at about 100 yards, and then escorting them back to our camp.

The twist was that we men were given blast-resistant suits, and the women were made to remain in their civilian clothing. With our flack suits, we men had to shield our prospective women with our bodies, while escorting them across the killing field, constantly maneuvering ourselves to block the bullets and explosive blasts that were barreling in on us from all sides. The conditions were hellish, moving from cover to cover, while getting tagged by all kinds of ammunition, and staggering through the explosions with bullets zipping by our ladies' uncovered bodies. We did our best to traverse the field, but I watched many couples die in their attempts, either blown apart by ordinance or gunned down by shots to unprotected areas.

The smoke was blinding, and the explosions were disorienting, but my potential bride and I had finally made it to the end of the field. This area was like the hornets' nest, and the resistance greatly intensified. I don't even remember the moment at which we hit the checkpoint and began our way back, but we were soon huddling back toward camp, fighting off the continued barrage. The finish line wasn't too far away, when I noticed that I couldn't feel the woman in my padded arms anymore. Looking down at the hollow between my arms, I saw that she was nowhere to be found. Immediately, I knew what happened, stopping in place and turning back to face the checkpoint we had last passed. It was now being swarmed with enemy combatants, and I knew that I had somehow lost her in the fray. For a moment, I tried to muscle my way back toward the checkpoint, but I was getting hammered with heavy machine gun fire and RPG's; smoke trails streaming out from the 'hornets next' and detonating on and around my huge, cumbersome flack suit.

Finally, I caught a glimpse of her, through the smoke and flames, and she was being hanged. I can't remember if I actually saw her, or just a silhouette, but I remember the image of her dangling from the noose, before being cut down and then impaled on a spike, for good measure, as if to be propped up for show. At this point, I knew there was nothing I could do and I turned to make my way back to camp, feeling absolutely horrible about my failure...and still getting rocked by explosions and assaulted with gunfire. On the way back, I found another woman on the ground. Her protector had been killed in the chaos, ahead of her, and she was left down in the dirt, completely helpless. I lifted her to her feet and shielded her as I had done with the other woman, guiding her the rest of the way back to camp to meet up with the rest of the survivors. At this point, I didn't know or care whether or not saving someone else was 'allowed' in the trial, but I wasn't going to leave anyone else behind.

I don't remember anything that happened when I got there, though.

"Looking for a Fight, and Post-Mortem Parenting" - 01/15/2007 (Lucid)

"Looking for a Fight / Post-Mortum Parenting"
01/15/2007
Dream #3
(Lucid)

I was on a slightly-deserted street, at night. Someone was with me, but I can’t remember who it was. Suddenly, and without much of a noticeable cue, I realized I was dreaming.

The first thing I did was stabilize the dream by looking at my hands, however, I can’t remember what I saw in them, or whether they were even warped at all. My next order of business was trying to find the old, blind Chinese(ish) man, so we could finish our fight (which I had been planning on doing during my next lucid, while I was awake, the past few days). I remember trying the “around the corner” method of manifesting people, to see if he would just 'appear', that way. That didn’t work. I also tried to just make him appear in front of me. That didn’t work, either. Walking around with my friend, we came to where there was a store on the side of the road. Toward this store, walked some stranger with a black jacket on. I couldn’t quite see what he looked like, but I’m pretty sure he also had a beanie on.

While this guy was walking - somewhat toward us, but indirectly - I held up my fingers toward him and focused, trying to get him to turn into the old Chinese guy. The shit just Would Not work, and I was starting to get frustrated by it. Then, for no reason at all, the guy that was walking, still paying us no attention, walked straight toward the wall of the store that we were now standing in front of. Without breaking stride, he simply stepped up onto the wall and began walking, vertically, up the front of the building; hands in is pockets as if this was completely normal behavior for him. My “friend” and I looked at each other like, “What the fuck?” and then looked back at the guy, just as he disappeared over the rooftop.

Not to be outdone, I quickly levitated up into the air, stopping to hover just a few feet higher than the rooftop, which was only illuminated by a bright street lamp a few yards away. The guy didn’t even pay me any mind. He simply kept on walking in his straight line, across the rooftop, and down the other side. Still hovering in the air, my curiosity found itself wandering away from this character (although, looking back on it, I could have attempted to turn the guy into the old Chinese dude, and fought him, but I'd forgotten all about it, by this time). I decided to go off and just explore a lil' bit, so I started flying down the street, following this dark main road through a rural area. Traffic picked up, the further I went, a few cars passing under me. I kept trying to go faster but I couldn’t get any speed, while flying, no matter how hard I tried. It seemed the harder I concentrated on going faster, the slower I went.

Another car came, speeding up from behind me, passing under me and heading in the same direction I was. So, holding out one arm in front of me, I imagined as if there was a long rope tied to the car that just passed me; which had to have been going about 60-70mph. Even though it was planned, I was rather surprised when I suddenly picked up speed, being yanked by the invisible, imaginary string. Flying behind the car was pretty intense and fun as hell. I was only a good 10-15 feet off of the ground, and felt kind of like a kite.

As I was passing a bunch of houses that sat on either side of the road, something (though I can’t remember what) drew me to one of them. I “disconnected” myself from the car and stepped down into a landing on the front lawn of the unfamiliar house. I can’t remember whether I opened the door or just walked through it, but I was soon inside, and not even the interior of the house looked familiar. That’s why I found it all the more strange to see my Dad, sitting on the couch with his head back and his eyes closed.

Now, being completely lucid and knowing that my Dad is dead in real life, I didn’t really know what to make of this situation. Since the front door was behind the couch he sat on, which was in the middle of the living room, I walked around toward it, eyeing my Dad, suspiciously. I wasn’t quite sure what my subconscious might have had in store for me, but I walked calmly, prepared for pretty much anything. As I circled around beside him, I stuck out one arm and tapped him on the arm and said, “Hey,” to see if he was really ‘dead’ in the dream. He opened his eyes as if he’d only been sleeping and looked up as if he was surprised to see me.

He got up and hugged me and I told him that, even though I knew he was a DC, it was good to see him. I sat down on the couch next to him and then we just got into some conversation about how things have been going, with me. We didn’t have very many of those types of conversations when he was alive, so this was actually pretty nice. I lost lucidity during the conversation and vaguely remember a bunch of my Dad’s friends coming over and all of us having a party.

Things pretty much faded out, after that. I then “woke up,” still at “Dad’s house.” (I very rarely fall asleep and wake up still within the same dream. I find it fascinating that it happened twice in one night, as it also happened in a previous dream, on the night of this entry). I was not lucid though and remembered it was Monday morning, and I had to be at work. I checked my watch and it was 10 till 8:00. “Shit.” I was going to be late for work. I still had to go home, shower and change. I jumped in the car and, not really knowing where the hell I was, ended up driving a good 10 minutes in the wrong direction. I figured this out, eventually, and turned around, headed back toward my house.

There was no fighting it, I figured, and I was going to be really late, so I stopped in some convenience store that also sold hot breakfast like sausage and eggs; etc. I remember looking at the sky to see the sun coming up. Finally, I ended up getting home and, when I looked at my watch, it said it was already 9:30am. I was like “What? That’s not right. It couldn’t have taken me an hour and a half just to get here.” I tapped on the watch a few times and put my ear up to it. It wasn’t ticking. Turns out it was broken. (Or, at least, I thought it was broken. Instead of wondering if it being broken was because I might have been dreaming, I was stuck trying to rationalize why it said 7:50, the last time I looked at it. I don’t think I actually figured out that I was dreaming before I woke up again.)

Dream #1
(Lucid)

The first thing I remember is being on an elevated train. It felt kind of like a theme park monorail, in that it was on a single-railed track, and distinctly had that 'touristy' feel to it. Somewhere along our trip, the train malfunctioned - beginning to break down and lose speed - but I can't exactly remember the reason why. It was in this moment, when most of the people around me were reacting to the failing train, that I realized I was dreaming.

Looking out the window nearest me, I could see another elevated track. Far ahead, I could see another train speeding toward in our direction, but on the parallel railing which sat a couple-dozen yards away from the one our own train was riding on. Even in this short period of time, I could see that the train was moving insanely fast. It wasn't a regular monorail, but a bullet train. I knew, immediately, that I would much rather be on that train than the dysfunctional POS that I was on, now. With a pretty good sense of control in the dream, I levitated in the air and phased through the roof of my train, landing on top of it. I don't believe my train had completely stopped, but it definitely wasn't moving along at full speed. I could see the other train nearing us. Both of these tracks sat high enough above the ground that I don't actually remember seeing anything but an obscure blur of green fields, far below us. The oncoming train would be passing us soon, so I knew I had to hurry, in order to catch it.

When it did pass my train, I ran along the length of the roof; from one of the first cars, which I had been in, and all the way to the caboose. At the last car, I jumped from the monorail, in a vain attempt to clear the wide gap between the two of them. Of course, I fell extremely short, and I could feel myself begin to fall toward the ground below me. Again (much like the T-Rex fighting lucid I'd had a few days before this dream), I had to focus on righting myself, while falling.

I concentrated on 'pushing' myself forward, to turn my downward free-fall into forward/upward arc, wildly flying across the gap and just barely making it to the bullet train as it whipped by the failing one that I had been on, moments ago. I grabbed the outside of the bullet train - sticking to it like Spider-Man, part-ways between the side of the train and the rooftop - and then crawled the rest of the way onto the roof. The speed of the train made being on the roof very intense, and I figured it might be better if I made my way inside. So, slinking back around to the edge of the roof, I eased myself over the side of the speeding train, and phased myself through the window without opening the glass, dropping silently inside the train car. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything after entering the bullet train.

"No Trespassing / One vs. the One Percent" - 05/30/2013 (Lucid + Chain)

"No Trespassing" / "One vs the One Percent"
05/30/2013
Dream #1
(Lucid + Chain)

Part 1:

It was night time, and I was on some rocky terrain with a girl and at least two guy companions. I don't remember why we were there, but we were on the grounds of the headquarters of some evil, military-style group; an area that we were obviously not supposed to be in. For a while, we were alone, but knew that security was patrolling around to catch trespassers. One of the men in my group called out that someone was coming, and we quickly scattered to wherever we could hide. A pair of truck headlights came over a ridge and stopped where we had been posted up, surveying the area. I had slipped down into a shallow ditch area and lay with my belly down in the water and high grass.

From the ditch, I could see the truck-full of a dozen or so SWAT-like thugs jump out and search the area where we had previously been. It didn't take long before they found two of my friends in their hiding spots - one of which being the chick. I could only watch in horror as they knocked the guy down to the knees and shot him dead. They then took the girl captive, loading her up onto their truck along with the rest of their goons.

The ground suddenly began to shake and the water around me started rippling. Something was happening to the ditch that I was in, and I started to think I might get swallowed up by it. A large section of the ground gave way and the water began draining into an opening, revealing a well-lit, hidden tunnel with a roadway leading down under the building. Wedging myself in a dark recess formed by the opening panels, I remained hidden until the truck drove down into the tunnel and out of sight, the entryway closing itself behind the vehicle.

I vaguely remember talking to another male member of our group (whom I think was the only one left) about the facility. We were checking out the windows and doors, and wondering how we might get inside to try and save the girl. While accessing the situation and trying to figure out how we should go about it, I woke up.

(After waking, I was determined to try a Dream Chain, so that I could get back into the scenario, go after the villains, and save my companion. Starting the induction audio about half-way through, I say back down and started to visualize the ditch area outside of the building, focusing on the intention to direct my next round of dreams back to that same place.)

"No Trespassing / One vs the One Percent"
Part 2:

I was back in the yard outside the building. My obscure ally from the first dream was now replaced with my best friend, T. I still wasn't aware that I was dreaming, so T and I very cautiously made our way inside the building, slinking through the halls and ducking away from any shadows we saw approaching us. We ran into a spot where there were people approaching quickly, and we had nowhere to go but into one of the many doors that lined the hall. Having no idea what was inside, we ran into the little room and closed the door behind us.

In this tiny bedroom was an elderly, southern black woman. She was sitting on the bed, facing away from us. She had a very kind voice and, though I don't remember much of the conversation, we came to find out that the villains that ran this place were a bunch of Elites who were into theivery, slavery and all other types of corruption. After a little while, we ended up rounding the bed and getting a look at her. Her face was a horrific mess of so many scars that it made her hardly recognizable as a woman. Nothing fresh, but scars that have long since settled in for good. She told us that one of the women who ran the place took a razor to her face - quite viciously, from the looks of it - for having been disobedient at one point or another.

While she was recalling the incident, a very large man suddenly walked into the room. He was wearing a dirty tank top shirt and, by the way they were talking, it seemed that he might have been her husband. He hardly even acknowledged us, except to sternly tell me that I was in his way, when he was trying to get to the dresser behind me, which the TV sat upon. Shortly after, he was gone, and T and I went back to talking to the old woman, trying to learn a little more about the organization. (Though, again, I don't really remember the conversation.)

We then heard voices coming from right outside the door. There were men coming, and it we knew it was highly unlikely that they were friendly. T and I tried our best the hide, but the room was so small that there really weren't many places in which to disappear. I jumped into a tiny nook between the TV/dresser and a small end-table beside it. I noticed a folding knife resting on top of the dresser and grabbed it, opening it up and keeping it down by my side, just in case. T tried to slip under the table, but it was still just too far out in the open. I'm not 100% sure, but I think he ended up hiding in a small closet on the other side of the room.

The door opened, and three muscular men in black walked into the room. They started talking to the old woman about something, but ultimately were acting pretty nonchalant, as if they didn't know anything was up. From where I was hiding (beside the TV and dresser), I knew the top of my head was probably visible. I was wearing a black hat, though, and tried to make it so that only the hat would show, in hopes that they might overlook me. While their attention was directed at her, I peeked my eyes up just enough to see the men turn toward the TV (and me), and I dropped my head again. I heard them come over to the TV and begin talking about whatever programming was on, still seemingly oblivious to my presence. It wasn't until one of them playfully patted me on the hat, chuckling, and said "...and we'll be waiting for you outside, whenever you decide to come out," that I knew we had been found out.

The trio left the room, and I simply stayed in my spot, wondering how in the Hell I was going to get out of this mess. Then, suddenly, Finally, I came to the realization that I was dreaming! I actually said to myself something like "Wait, this is a dream! Why the Hell am I running from these people?!" Taking one moment to look at my hands, ensuring that I would be able to keep the dream going just a little bit longer, I then got up from where I had been cowering and stormed out of the bedroom with T following timidly behind.

I burst through a large set of doors and into an enormous dining hall. The dining room table stretched from a few feet in front of me to about 30 yards away, with two distinct groups of people sitting among either end - the people sitting closer to my side of the room looking much less posh and glamorous than the ones at the far end. There were probably 30-40 people in all. The ones on the far end of the table, upon seeing me enter, suddenly jumped from their chairs and drew their weapons on me. Having absolutely no fear of their guns, I began stalking into the room, ignoring the group of un-threatening, less-fortunate looking people and going straight for those with their guns drawn, still holding the knife I'd gotten from the bedroom. When the shooting started, I simply ignored the bullets. I don't know whether they bounced off of me or just went right through me, but I barely felt them. While they continued frantically trying to take me down, I basically walked up the length of the dinner table, stabbing, punching and kicking everyone who was attacking me. In the middle of a flurry of offensive attacks, I quickly picked up a fork off of the table and, in one fluid motion, slung it across the other side of the table and straight into the throat of one shooter. Then, turning around, I saw that there was a woman shooting at me from point blank range. For a moment, I actually hesitated to attack her. However, I immediately reminded myself that this was only a dream, kicked the woman down, picked up a chair and smashed it down onto her, shattering it over her rib cage.

T, who had hung back a little (though I do think he might have been fighting, too, I'm just not sure.) suddenly yelled out that the people I was fighting weren't actually the ones in charge, and it was really the ones who had looked poorer, as they were trying to deceive us into focusing on the hired help. (He evidenced this by drawing my attention to some strange set up of the dinnerware, but I don't remember the exact explanation.) So, I redirected my wrath over to that far side of the table, kicking a little more elite ass while they scrambled and tried their best to fight me off. Finally, there was one guy left. He sat and stared at me in terror, as if he was completely paralyzed. I saw that his hands were behind his back, even as he was sitting in the chair. I knocked him out of the chair and onto the floor, causing him to drop something beside him. It was a small, metal stick with a red button on the tip of it. A detonator. Quivering with fear, he told us that it was something of a self-destruct contingency, and he had planned to kill us all if need be, but he had simply found himself to be to afraid to push the button.

Immediately after this revelation, I woke up.

(After jotting down my notes on the laptop - and with over an hour left to sleep, I reset the audio and tried to jump back into the dream for a Part 3, to continue searching for our companion who had been abducted. After tossing and turning for about 30 minutes, though, I decided that I just wasn't going to get back to sleep, and got out of bed.)
